FM Han Solo's freighter question

First of all I want to say to all you builders I think you are all artists of the best. And I want to thank you all for all the posts you guys made now here is my question: I finaly received the FM Millennium Falcon and I want to remove the pipes on the upper and lower hull so I can make them from one piece because I think that will be more beautifull at the end. Can somebody tell me what is the safests way to remove the pipes without me damaging the upper and lower hull? In advance many thanks

I would use a dremel and/or a razor blade. Then just sand it down. Use some putty if you feel you went a bit too far

I like using a chisel blade for removing details I don't want, much easier that a standard X-acto blade:
