First time costume-TOR Jedi Knight

So I've got tickets to Celebration Europe and of course I've got to go in costume (I think it's a rule or something). I've got a suit of stormtrooper armour but it's not the most flexible thing so I've decided to create my first costume- a Jedi Knight from the Star Wars:The Old Republic MMO game

The reason I chose this was simple: I play a Jedi Knight in TOR so actually walking around as my character was a no-brainer.

I've managed to get Pepakura plans from Fierfek (muchas gracias, mi amigo) but I'll be doing the costume in foam instead of card.

I'll be putting pics up as I go along. Let's hope it goes well :unsure

Looking forward to seeing this! It's my next project after I finish Iron Patriot. I like the look of Fierfek's files much better than the ABS versions out there, that, imo, look too small in the chest.

Any thoughts on the under suit? I've seen an under armor style used, but I love the look of the fabric for Kao Cen Darach in the trailer. Unfortunately, I can't find anything to match it yet.

Under Armour got recommended to me in another post, think I'll go with that as it'll be easier. If anything else comes up I'll give it a go.

The only drama I've got atm is what to use for the footwear. I've got Jedi style boots but they may not work with the armoured leggings for this costume. Something else to think about

True dat. I've been looking at other Jedi Knights and they've been wearing ankle highs. As I mentioned this is my first costume so I'm still finding things out

Dammit, why didn't anyone tell me Pepakura was so fiddly? I've so far got the glove plates sorted and am going for the cod piece as I feel this will be the supporting piece if my experience with TK armour's anything to go by. Pics to follow (if I haven't glued my elbow to my ear :rolleyes)

What's giving you issue with Pepakura? I haven't done anything in foam yet (card stock so far), but the hardest thing for me has been getting the scale right. So Painful to look a piece of hard work and know that, while it looks good, it would be much better if it were just an inch smaller...

Sorry I've not posted for a while, sadly work has reared its ugly head and not given me a chance to get anything done. Hopefully be able to get some stuff done at the weekend

First of all, apologies for the lack of update. Work has been busy and it's been impossible to do anything of note. On the plus side I've now got a shed load of leave time available to me and have managed to get at least a start on my costume. So without further ado, here's a look at my first (and so far the easiest) piece- the codpiece

The piece is made of foam with a foamboard backing to allow a bit of rigidity. I'll be adding the belt piece later
