Ok, these are not conventional gorilla feet as we know them. They are a bit more monster like and over the top version. I still need to smooth them and ad more detail, but overall, I guess I am kind of happy with them so far.
I really like this super sculpty stuff.
pretty sweet dude. keep on sculpting! I say you find some local trailer parks and start walking through the yards late at night and see how long it takes you to get on the news as a bigfoot sighting!
Nice! Get some fake fingernails (thumbs mostly because of the size) and use them like real nails. Embed them into the clay! I did this for my Cannibal Jack toe necklace.
Is this intended to be a base for a bigger project? One thing you'll want to be sure you're very clear on is the underlying bone structure. Some clay artists even start by building the bones and layering on the muscles, and I find those to be the most realistic.
You might work on the wrinkles in the knuckes a bit, they seem very sharp. I know some sculptors like to go over these areas with a fine rake and use alcohol or other techniques (depending on the medium, of course - you may be limited in your choice of clay).
All in all, though, I think you're off to a great start!
Thanks to all for the replies. I am still working on them, so they will be better detailed and smoothed out. they look very good to me, they have a kind of "cartoon" style That is really kind of what I want, but maybe more comic book style. I bought hands from trap joe and want them to be somewhat similar, like the spread out digits.
