First Pep attempt, Old School Hero Stormtrooper. Casting.

So the thin bit on the recessed part. Then cut execess flapp on the recessed part? Then fitt it one the dome. So no cutting on the dome? Thx for the reply!

I got it! Just need to print out one more thin bit. Now comes the tricky part. Where to start now? On the back or the eyes... Is there a wrong way? :)

Personally I started on the top the dome, its the most tedious bit & not as easy to assemble last :)
The rest of it was interesting & enjoyable to build. I built most of the face (IMO the best bit to build) first & I added a 10mm plain strip to the top above the eyes to raise it. I'd planned on cutting the helmet into two pieces after fiberglassing from the start, so adding the strip to the top above the eyes was in prep for that. I closed the gap when joining it to the top by using & slightly modifying the upper part of the printed brow strip. The rear of the helmet was the easiest part & quickest to build. IMO the most difficult part was the flat piece between the mic tip indents, joining the parts together there was tricky but it does all fit together :D

I'd say start with the eyes & work your way down keeping the face separate from the rest at first. Then build the back, join the back to the top & then join the completed face to the sides leaving a small gap at the top of the face where it meets the top. You can then decide what path to follow with the brow.

You can also add extra strips of card to reinforce weak area's but remember to peel them off after resin soaking the outside & before resin soaking the inside.

HTH :)

Hello again. So I assemble the face and the back. No problem. I joined the whole thing to the back of dome. But what about the gap on the front where the face meets the dome??? Don't understand that. Should I put the brown inside of the dome and have that to hold the face and the front of the dome? On Leigh photos there is no brown on the outside of the dome. I think you have to do another build Leigh and document every stepp :D

Is there an update on whether the helmet will be made for sale? If so do you have a ballpark figure for the cost? Thanks and you do great work!

Oh my god, I have no words to describe how cool your build is, i was between pepping this file or the one made by navimanar, this one didn't seem right but was so easy to pep and the other one looked right but it was hard to pep and now you have inspired me damn

When you where pepping it. do you remember if its wider than spacecowboys build? mine turned out quite round
