Ok, he got some pictures to me this morning. I'm happy with how the color ended up.
The red leather and the straps will need to be weathered obviously. And these photos don't show the wrist straps or belt.

I think the shoulder panels are weird because the front seam on the sleeve should have been maybe an inch further forward. It moves that end of the panel up about an inch and a half, making it way too angled. Overall I'm happy with the color, though. They did a really good job on the weathering this time. Once the straps and the red panel are darkened, it should look really nice.

Likewise, I'm not trippin about the panels. They do look angled but is there really anything we can at this point?

I got a set from JJ, but won't know if they'll until I have the jacket. If they don't, I'll have to come up with something else

Red acrylic I would imagine. Think that's what I'm going to end up using. Might darken the straps some, then paint the red shoulder strap and finally weather it down along with the others.

Yes, it's supposed to be red. I'm planning to paint them all unless someone requests that I skip theirs. Acrylic mixed with a fabric medium, available pretty much anywhere acrylic paint is sold. It makes the paint be permanent on fabric, as well as decreasing the brittle-ness of it, so it won't crack and flake on cloth. For anyone wanting to do their own, the paint and fabric medium are each be about $1 at most craft or fabric stores.
I had the option to have the manufacturer use red nylon webbing there, but in close up shots of the movie jacket it's very clearly the same color webbing with red paint on it, so that's the plan.
