since I went through JJ to get mine I'm about 99% sure these are them; there modeled for Indy's jacket but the "zipper(?)" piece fits perfect and the breast piece will work too.

Mid week bump for the new run. There's a good chance I'll be putting in a new order for the customer sizing in about a week and a half! So if you want in, hurry up

Also, I ordered a set of greeblies from etsy, I'll see how they look on my jacket once they arrive. I'll also darken/weather the straps and the red portions of the jacket to get it closer to the movie look, and I'll post some photo updates once it's done!

Interesting that you went with Etsy over Shapeways. Let us know how they turn out! I was looking at JJ's Magnoli fit greeblies on Shapeways, and it never occurred to me to check Etsy.

I recommend diluted acrylic paint! Just mix it with a bit of water so it looks like coffee with cream in it, and dab it on with a bristle brush. Let it dry, and if you want more color, do another layer! A little bit of fabric medium mixed in won't hurt either.

Ok, I will be placing the initial order on September 17th-ish, and it will take about 3 weeks to get the leather made. I will be taking orders for custom sizing until October 10th.

I got some greeblies on etsy, and they fit pretty well on this jacket!

Here they are just set on, not really attached yet.

And separate, so you can see the pieces.

It was $42 after shipping for the whole set.

Yes. They won't be eliminated, be cause they are at an angle on the movie jacket. But like the movie jacket, it will be lowered so the webbing is below the stitch lines on the arm, rather than above it like some of the last run (like the one in my photos).

I just want to make sure there is very little angle to those pieces, in the film jacket it was extremely subtle (if at all). I'm worried about ordering because the last run was way off, and the red makes it really noticeable. No disrespect intended, I'm just very poor and this would be a big investment for me.

You can see in the original that on the right, the red is running parallel to the pocket. Is there even an angle at all? Or is all the angle just because the jacket is more open at the bottom? The picture you chose above is a perfect example of that. Yes, the angle is there but only because the jacket is WAY open at the bottom (you can even see the the shoulder piece bending and sticking out to accommodate the open jacket)

Now look at the red on the right of this jacket. I think it should be running parallel to the pocket. Now I'm just a shmuck with no experience in jackets or costume reproduction, but to me it just seems off.

@Zelazny I'll also look into having the inside connection spot raised up a little, which will make it even more level. However there is still a slight slope to it, which is what causes it to pull away from Finn's body on the corners when he wears it; the shoulders of the jacket slope down over his shoulders a bit, pulling down on the outsides of the panels.

But if it's a big concern for you, I can also have yours made with extra care to straighten those out, so they are level to the ground. I worry that the shape will be wrong on the outside edges of the panels, but if the slope concerns you more it's fine with me to have it altered like that.

I'm seriously considering getting in on your second run! i'm so happy with my first one, if you made ANY "improvements", the price is just right to justify a second jacket :thumbsup
