Google the "Poe's leather jacket" and look at images from the film. Zlurpo is right, it is never yellow. We've all been looking at a display under some crazy exhibit hall lights.

It's not yellow, but it is still warmer than I have it. Or had it, I actually like the newest sample pretty well, but not perfectly. There's this slight golden hue to the under-color still.

I think the bigger problem is the type of distressing. The samples are a pretty even, brown color. The distressing on the real jacket was closer to black and it's really uneven.

Black acrylic wash in a spray bottle. Problem solved.

I admit I'm ignorant to what Danny did for his, but like I said above leaving it unweathered is almost certainly an option on an individual basis.

I say just a tad bit darker on the sample and you're good. I personally be okay with my jacket the color of the last sample pictures, then I can make darker/disstressing on my own.

But who knows they may come back with some even better samples. Myself in particular am in no rush for this jacket, but am egar to have it hahaha

Ok, so here are the final colors for the jacket.

Unfortunately he is now pretty mad at me for trying to get things re-made so many times, so this is it. Here's my photoshopped version of what I think these two will combine to make (made using these two photos):




Since he knows it should have a fairly uneven, cloudy application.

If anyone wants theirs WITHOUT the wax on it, just the color of the unwaxed leather above, let me know. Mechanized2400, Gnar Gnar Jinn, Risu, and CaptJack, I assume from your previous posts you'd prefer that. Anyone else who would like that, PM me very soon.

No, actually I like the waxed look. Count me, I like the way that top picture/mock up came out. Any further disstressing or altering I can work with. Thanks @Zlurpo:thumbsup

Ok, timing update. Due to a combination of the delays in getting enough interest, matching the leather color as closely as I could, and local holidays where the manufacturer lives, he tells me it will be about 25 days until completion at this point. I really wish it wasn't going to be so long.

If this is a problem (specifically, if you have a deadline by which time you need your jacket, like a convention at which you are planning to wear it) message me, and I'll discuss with you if anything can be done.

...or shipping to you from another country Aug 1st, then you have to re-send them to us?

When are we actually looking at receiving these now, sometime in September?

Any updates? Just wondering if the early August timeline was still accurate. I emailed back after receiving the "custom fit" email verification, but didn't receive a response. Looking forward to receiving my jacket!

Yes, I just was emailing with the manufacturer today, he now says that he expects them to be complete August 5. Which... actually pisses me off, because he gave me a shorter estimate than that before. But at this point all I can do it wait :/
