Well, the ships body is finished and painted, except for som minor fine tuning after the wings are mounted. I am pretty satisfied with the colourscheme.
Speking of wings, i had a slight set-back as i tried a different primer than i did on the body. The result was that the basecoat main colour pealed off like a plastic film! angry The primer was too glossy to provide enough adhesion for the acrylic paint. I will therefore have to start over, with a new set of wings - i should be back on track by this time tomorrow...

I just finished Kurts model, and i am extremely happy with it!

Yes, i know that goofy pic of the TIE firing is an old gag, but i just think it is so damn cool to do...

This concludes this build-up Kurt, the model needs to rest for a few day to allow all the paint to dry, i would also like to have some high-res photos taken of it before i ship it out.

I really hope I can do this amazing kit justice? After seeing this work of art I am starting to doubt my modeling abilities. Building this thing isn't the problem, it is the painting I'm worried about!
I have a lot of studying of your photo story to do.

One last detail - the laser tips. I rounded the tips of some plexiglass rods, sanded and polished them. I the applied a coat of Humbrol clear orange.
