Finished Studio Scale Raptor

The modeler who built this was nice enough to share some pictures with me of this finished build of my kit. While I can't divuldge the name of the builder I thought some of you would enjoy seeing the work. This whole project of a Raptor kit was so much more work then anyone imagined. The sculptor did fantastic pattern work, so many others helped with decals, blueprints, time, information, ideas, and feedback. When I saw these pics it was all worthwhile.

Hope you like.

THAT is one the THE most IMPRESSIVE
builds I have EVER seen .

:eek

Damn, I'd PAY that fellow to make me up a kit as nice
as THAT ....

:thumbsup

Just too cool.. :D :D :D
Everything about it it from the great paint and decals to the lit up display screens.
I'ld like to see another shot with the lights down low just to see the lit screens better.
Thanks for the photos.

EXTREMELY WELL DONE...

Kudos to the builder. And Kudos to you Jesse for mastering such a fine kit.

Not my masterwork (I made the rear lower seat..thats it... :angel ) John Moscato did the ship, Jim Maddox did the figures. I just did the casting and organization.

(lets see...so I didn't design it, master it, build it or paint it...I must be a manager. ) :)

This has been a dream of mine for a while, and seeing these pictures made me smile...glad you all like it too.

I Love it. Great detail, paint, weathering, just wow. Whoever this unknown builder is, he needs to take a bow.

Thats it i quit lol, seriously good work, the screens rule, the paints wicked, damn its just amazing all over, props to the builder :thumbsup

This buildup was documented and was featured in SciFi and Fantasy Modeler magazing. Its a very nice article, and I recommend the magazine. (I don't get anything from this so please don't think I'm selling..just saying)

For those asking for a kit, its not currently for sale, but I'm working on ways to make it available again. Ill be in touch.

Glad you all like it...personally, I love it. :)

Very nice stuff Jesse. Great managing there ;)

The buildup looks great with all the lighting and screens done up it really does look real.
Kudos to 'he who must not be named' - is there a reason or are you just waiting for him to jump in here?

I think the tone of the FAAAAWWWWK is to be noted as well, a lower growling thrash metal tone will no doubt mean more kudos Bob? Well im still not admitting to getting wood so i need a new way of expressing superlatives :lol
