Very nice! I can see that there's a lot going on in that paintjob. I'd love to see bigger, brighter pics if you have any. Thanks a bunch for posting your buildup, it's a real inspiration. I remember Rolando's scratchbuilding thread on this kit, and it was so freaking cool to see it realized in resin...I had to get one.

GF, yes, I had to rebuild a lot of stuff on this model. I also hooked up a bright white LED light. The body and head was in rather poor shape so most of the project time were spent here. This seems to vary from model to model though. Mine is in perfect condition!

The improvements really shows, you did a hell of a job, your customer will be very pleased.

Actually my PD was excellent, the major flaw was in the big square box which has the 3 coin slots type details due to undercuts during molding, It seems like you made a new plate and glued it over.

With the new company, a baby due in Nov and this masterpiece under your belt it's no wonder you find it difficult to hand around here.

Sorry, no more pics. These two were shot with studio strobe lights in a studio setting and they take quit some time to line up. Pherhaps the new owner will take some new ones ones he have it.

Here's some new pics (in natural light) with it's finished base. I commissioned a laser engraver to cut the smoked acrylic trimmings and he also etched the top plaque. Pretty cool isn't it!

Oh, BTW! I might go into buissines with this guy so if there's an interest in bases for SS models (done in this style) just let me know!
