I don't want to know what you have had to spend on those medical tools...
THAT'S what you need to cast up!
Very awesome project.
You need to make an armature for it. So you can make it "float" in on guests at your house! Lol!

A couple of the medical pieces were definitely expensive, but I got lucky on others. The syringe was about the most expensive next to the tonsilectome tool.
Here is what I'm using as the base. It came with the episode 1 Watto statue that I sold. I kept the base just for this

Finally something to update on this. I had a set of plates made for the center section. The bottom plate has the pattern cut out of the sides, a circle on the bottom to receive the lower dome and an octagon for the hemisphere to go into.
The top disk will fit in the bottom of the top dome and have a marching place for the octagon. This will allow everything to sandwich together. Ultimately I see running a rod through the center to hold it all together.
It's not aligned but you get the idea.

I haven't forgotten about this....just had to switch gears on a couple of things.
Anyhow... So I started playing around with the equator part and decided that it needed some more stability than my original plan, so I had two octagons cut and screwed them together with a 1" nylon spacer in between them. The two plates are screwed to the bottom plate as one piece, and then the top piece will nestle on top of it.
I also drilled a 1/4" hole through the center of all of the plates and plan on drilling a hole through the top and bottom of the hemispheres so that a long 1/4" threaded rod can go through everything bolt it all together.

One thing that has always bothered me about this done is that the etchings were soft and I wanted them deeper. After inspecting some pics of the real thing at the MotM exhibit, I realized that the real one had hand etched lines, so I'm making these so they aren't as soft before I mold it.

The domes are a good place to start
. I'm planning on molding he tonsilectome tool very soon and I'm working on having the prosthetic arm 3d printed so that can be molded as well.
I'd look for the chemistry pieces and the forceps first since I'm going to mold the expensive parts.
