Finished modifications (almost) Denix getting a nicer booty

Re: Denix getting a nicer booty

So it was time for some weathering and assembly :)
for weathering i used the all familiar aluminium black , my first try, so im not totally happy with the look, i went for somthing like well used

There are a few small things missing yet , a set of grips and a new grip screw, and also i will have to redo the plugs i made over the holes from the pins on the trigger and hammer .
Also rings around the hole in the hammer needs to be done , but i have to make a tool for this.
Some weathering needs to be done to the hammer and bolt also

No offense, but if you didn't post pictures of the work in progress I wouldn't believe this was done with hand tools. I couldn't do this on my CNC machine, it came out great! I would take this over a MGC any day. Again, you took things to a whole nother level! Your finished DL-44 is going to be amazing!

Thanks for the kind words , i used to run a cnc a few years ago , and frankly some things are easier to do by hand wouldnt even know where to start programing this

This really turned out fantastic. Super motivating to see what you've pulled off here!

Just started to fix up my hfc712 , and seriously , that upper is waaaaaay better than the denix
maybe i'll try a hybrid , anyone try a denix lower with a hfc upper ?
This is what it looks like just after stripping of that weird grey paint , a little filing and some B&C aluminium black
