Yeaaaaaaaa!!! The paint came in for the eyes! The top eyebrow still isn't installed, but I'll do that when I put lights and the back plate on it.

WHOA! For a second there I was trying to figure out why you posted photos of the original.

I thought that was the original until I read your post.

Wow, just wow. Great work, Gregg.

I have to brag: I just got to hold this in my hands tonight - it is a most fantastic prop! An absolute gem.

I'm gonna call this done. Still trying to figure out how to make the red "blink", but for mine, this is all I need.

That is awesome looking. Any chance of posting a short video clip if you have that ability.

Looks great. Tell Gil I said "Hi" and I'll see him and Erin at DragonCon next month. Just mention Scott, Sandra's friend. He should know who I am.

This looks great!

For the sound activated lights, there are kits that I've seen in stores that turn assorted lights (like black lights, etc.) on and off based on sound. They're usually inexpensive and should be relatively easy to wire an input into for the mic. They tend to have sensitivity controls, too.

I also found a couple of links:

Depending on the voltages, it shouldn't be much to just swap the speaker in with mic in. They're both inputs. Granted, there are things like input impedance and matching voltages to think about, but the math will be simple to figure it out.
