I've found out that the vacuum casting machine that I will be using to make the urethane ammo belts can't take a 3' long object, so I'm going to have to make 6 18" belts and then join them to make 3.

That is absolutely amazing. I loved the gun in the movie and you have brought it to life. I wish I had room enough to make my own right now.

Thank you Starsunder. I've not much to report, but I have added the final rubdown to the ammo box and have finally cast and fixed the tri-head details to the gun.

Vos mate this is absolutely incredible, just read through all 8 pages and was wowed at each pic. Cant wait to see the finished ammo belt painted and attached.

Also I never thanked you for that advice a couple of days back, so thanks for that, means alot. Fingers crossed now they get back to me.

Hi guys,
I haven't had time for any side projects for a while but I've finally got a sample of the rubber ammo belt done. I need to have 9 of these cast in matt black so I can make 3x 1m long links. The rubber behaves just how I had hoped. It bends and twists quite well and has a nice weight and density.

Thanks mate. I think they'll look pretty good in black and 3 times longer, snaking into the ammo box. I hope so anyway.

Your work is so incredibly straight and clean. I'm happy when I can sand something flat without leaving any noticable marks, behind :lol.

Love this gun, VERY nice work. What rubber did you use for the ammo belt and where do you buy it? Im trying new casting materials and am yet to find a good rubber.
