today i sanded down the chest plates and put together my scales .... i pinned it all together to see how it is coming along and how it will set on my body .. i think i will feel much more comfortable when i have added fur to the top rims of the bra and i have things covering my shoulders .

CANT WAIT TO START PAINTING THIS THING

... STILL A LOT MORE TO GO :<

I'd be a little careful with the shark teeth? near the bottom of the top though. Looks like they might fold in at the wrong time and poke ya.

Any progress pics on the paintjob for the mask?

lol no worries with that , they are fossilized and pretty dull at the tips , when i used to tribal belly dance some of my tops had way sharper edges with weird jewelry that hung ... the chain links if they were not connected right would actually scratch me up ... it is the necklace with the white un-fossilized tooth that i have to worry about ... that thing is RAZOR sharp and ready for meat shearing ... it has stabbed me a few times already lol ... and i did not paint the mask yet :< i want to so bad i am really itching to work on both that and the helm ... i finished painting the horns for the helm .. i just have to quick steel the rest of it ..attatch the hornes sand it (hate sanding) then paint till i throw up .... any new projects with all of your new toys hydin?

Nothing pic worthy :lol

Managed to screw up a leafing job tonight, so that's going to be a fun few hours of fixing.

Bell jar hasn't made it in yet, so I can't start sculpting my display piece until it shows up and I see how much room I have to play with.

I do have a friend working on the Ring of Namira though, so that's gonna be a nifty little addition to the incoming hail of skyrim props! Knife guy working on the Ruby daggers is thinking of taking a shot at the Mehrune's Razor knife, and I am saving my pennies for one of Oz's helmets.

Best of all, the crystal factory emailed me back, and let me know they are heading back to work and can probably do the soul gems :love

Hopefully it's gonna be an awesome start to the year

I have kind of the opposite problem. I have plenty of time to build, but no real supplies.

I did come across an amethyst that might work for a quick/dirty soul gem if you need one for the costume though. It won't be iridescent, but it will be purple and shiny.

Thinking I might just take a few days next week and do nothing but go completely offline and just sculpt till my fingers bleed. I'm surrounded by unfinished projects that need anything from paint to spot putty to sanding. Who knows, might even attempt to pep a dragon priest mask :lol

Save your paws! You can run the sculpey through a hand-crank pasta machine a few times to make it -much- softer. They run $20 and obscenely higher. Sorry I didn't catch you sooner!
