I don't know, I can already see cries of racism if we had Chinese super mutants. Although, they could say FEV removes any race specific traits in the same way it erases gender.

I do think Vault Tec would have used any method to get more test results. Of course then you have to ask yourself how many freaky experiments did they have? There's already at least 100+ vaults in the U.S.!

I foresee Bethesda milking all the paperwork and plans that Interplay had come up with for their version of Fallout 3 seeing as how most of the stuff in New Vegas came from that in one way or another. Doesn't mean they can't adapt it though. I'd still love to see one where you start during the war with China and then survive the bombs and have to make due and maybe have it take place over generations.

Yeah, me too. Seems the new consoles is coming out in a not to distant future, and the new FO game should be based on the same engine as Skyrim (?), and they need some time to sell it before the new console comes.

They got real quiet about Fallout right after the court stuff against Interplay ended so I'm not sure what's going on. One minute they were going to let Interplay do the Fallout Online then they weren't. Bethesda isn't the best run company at times it seems. They didn't really even advertise Skyrim yet. The new xbox is due out this time next year too.

I watched a little of the Video Game Awards and saw a trailer for "Metro Last Light" which seems to be a little more 'realistic' Fallout game. Set in Moscow I guess 20 years after a nuclear war and survivors who have been living in a metro tunnel system are scavenging for supplies.

Yeah that's based on a series of novels in russia. It's the 2nd game in the series I think. I liked the looks of some of it but some of it didn't seem that good to me.

There is so much fallout inspired art out there not to mention add ons to the original games. I mean a dude dug around and put the EPA mission back into Fallou2 and rumor has it they were trying to put the Chinese sub from San Fran back into it too. Sadly the smart raccoon village will never get put back into the original lol.

Boston would make sense as it's part of the Commonwealth mentioned in F3, which turns out to be centered around MIT's campus as its capital according to the fallout wiki.

Hopefully they will keep skipping around every other game. It would be a nice change of pace from desert to built up cities. Plus IMO Three Dog>Wayne Newton.

Yeah but Wayne is such a part of Vegas history you really couldn't not have him though I'd have preferred Tom Jones. At some point I'd love to go back to the setting of the original 2 games and see how things changed over the centuries. I mean it's been 100 years since the first game or so.

Definitely. After playing New Vegas I think the next West coast game should let you go back to some of the Fallout 1 & 2 locations.

In the Fallout Bible that the one guy made it actually turns out the child of your character in Fallout 2 dies not long before Fallout NV starts (i think) and has ties to the families in one of the cities in Fallout 2 that had gambling.

gameplay-wise too. Fallout 3 and New Vegas are my favourite games but they are my bane as well. I have never come across a more bug filled game. Speaking from a ps3 console point of view not Xbox or PC. Reading people's thoughts on game forums a lot of them seem to have the same gripe. Characters mysteriously disappearing (sometimes hindering gameplay), laggy screen and delayed response, jeez you think that would have been fixed.

I was helping my nephew play through New Vegas for his first time. At Freeside he shot the rat the two kids were chasing. We went back and this time they were chasing another kid and if you talk to the boy (of the rat chasing duo) he says "I wish he'd stop running." Like they are trying to kill the kid to eat him... We both looked at each other like "Are they doing what we think they're doing?" I've played NV numerous times (on PC) and have never seen this. I don't know if it's because he is playing it on the 360 or what. Is this a glitch and the dialogue is out of context or has anyone else had this happen?

I've never seen that either but i keep finding stuff on my copy too that i've never noticed, it could be a pretty rare conversation. Makes me even less likely to buy from that meat dealer in Freeside lol
