Fallout universe fan thread

No i'm console only for these kinds of games as my pc doesn't agree with them. I got Raul's amazingly easy personal quest done though. i have so much exploring left to do, by the time i get to the main quest or the DLC i'll have maxed out i think.

If you're on console and you've already talked to Loyal, Ranger Andy, and Corporal Sterling before having Raul with you, you're screwed. I was able to "fix" it with the console commands. I think that's a major screw up on Bethesda's part for having companion quests that can't start at any time.

BTW, I did like the Dead Money story, I just think it's a drag to play through after you'd done it a couple of times. I just cheated the weapons through the console.

I finished the game last night and look what happened. I had the Enclave people with me and Cannibal Johnson was the only one that followed to the Legate's camp. So after the game ended and they tell about what you did, he just kept walking across the screen every few seconds with his minigun. :lol

I'm crap outta luck with Veronica's quest. I already did all the stuff and i can't remember where i left/sold the pulse gun from vault 34. Plus Hardin's the elder now so i'm not even sure it would work even if i finished. I have no idea where i left that thing either as i checked ever place to buy/sell weapons and items.

You sold the Pulse Gun?!?!? Why? Other than the robots in OWB it kills the regular ones in a couple hits! I *think* you can still go after the Vault 22 growth enhancing chems or the Helios One death ray thing. I've never done those two, but I think the option to switch objectives for that mission are in Veronica's dialogue. It still works if Hardin takes over. I've done that every time except this play through.

Actually i did all the other stuff before i got her. You'd think if i sold that thing it would be in someone's inventory but i checked everywhere i even went back thinking i mighta dropped it by accident. i might just restart the game, i need to get the challenges from the gunrunner's arsenal pack. i didn't know i bought it, i remember getting the vault dweller stuff.

Here's the interesting thing about Fallout: New Vegas - you can sell a unique item to a vendor or trader and find it in a completely different place later on in the game.

I sold a unique gun (I think it was the Pew Pew) to somebody just outside the strip. Came back for it later (yes, I even killed everybody looking for it in the safe/inventory/etc.) only to find it gone. I forgot about it for a couple days (real time) and ended up on a mission on the other side of the map (the Legion camp). Of course I took out all the Legion soldiers - and to my surprise I found it while looting the body!

I'd like to imagine this is because there's a narrative happening in the background and not because of a glitch.

i think it is a narrative so to speak because if you hide stuff in an area that isn't secure they'll steal your stuff.

Edit: Rumor has it one of the guys who worked on the original games wants/wanted to do one set during the Resource Wars leading up to WW3 with it set in the UK and you as British soldier. I have to say i'd love to see a fallout take place in another country as i doubt we had the only idea for the vault system. I'd love to have one set before, during, and after WW3 where your actions can cause you to stay human or be a ghoul. I'd also love 3 different origins in it where you can even become a vault dweller in one of the vaults that opened early.

Wow that's impressive. I wish i had room for that kind of thing. I have a bunch of model kits i'm trying to turn into vehicles we see in the fallout games (or as close as possible) and inspired by them.

I never really thought about it before, but that weapon looks heavy. No matter how powerful, I find it hard to believe someone would strap that thing to their back and head out into the wastes.

hehe yeah it's turned into a monster.. some people made smaller ones.. mine's almost 4 feet long and weighs a fair bit (esp with batteries!).. Definitely thankful for the stand and strap that were recently added. I def think this will be more of a display piece.. Comicon will be fun next year.. I foresee a swore shoulder at days end...

Yeah I think maybe some weapons should have required power armor to carry.

I'm also surprised we haven't heard a peep yet about the next game!

Would Vault Tech have Vaults in China when there was a war coming? I can't believe they'd be traitors and support the enemy. :D

lol I think Vault Tech was as shady as the Enclave, I mean look at the vault in DC where they were doing their own FEV experiments. Actually in the unused stuff Bethesda's mining for game parts from Interplay it seems like VT was up to no good beyond the Enclave. I wouldn't be shocked that in a real world scenario there were other vault companies in Europe and such, even shadow governments maybe. I actually think the Enclave is behind the nukes flying, i know in the Fallout Bibles the chinese actually stole the virus that caused the pandemic that led to the FEV being created. It was housed in Hoover Dam of all places but that part got cut out of the original games just like the cool adventure at the EPA building.
