Fallout 3 costumes - It has begun!

Re: Fallout 3 costumes

A little sneak peek at 1 of 2 of my Fallout 3 costumes...one for the nightlife!

For some reason, my camera is making it look a bit darker, it is almost perfect to the game color.

And, the other WIP: MR 101...

I happened to have a couple old mechanics coveralls. I was gonna go with a set of Dickies coveralls, but I could only find them in Navy, to me that seems just a hair too dark for the vault dweller outfit. So, does this color seem to suit decent to anyone else? I swear, I didn't think that these suits would fit like a glove. Almost no room to play.

It looks good, perhaps the original is a tad bit lighter but this looks very good. Little point of critique would be that the "101" on the back doesn't seem to line up perfectly... Other then that splendid job!

I just want to put out there that I once ran around at a con for some adult events with a proper colored thick undershirt and boxer briefs (with a cup so it wouldn't look creepy) with a BoS T51 Helm and a Combat Shotgun.

Fallout streaker. Definitely easy and hilarious.

All you need is the Pip Boy with it and people will know exactly what's up.

It's funny, I was looking at the pic after I posted and thought it was just the way the suit was resting. I checked it and it was indeed down about a quarter inch. Which is funny, considering I checked it multiple times yesterday. Either way, I just fixed it, and it looks a lot closer to what it should be. It would of been nice if I could find some kind of sew on numbers for the collar, but all they had are screwy looking ones. So, I made those out of foam.

Next up, I am finishing my Pip-Boy hand plate, than working on the rest of the suit. I am just quesitoning what I should do with it. A lot of suits have the mic or whatever it is on the left shoulder, as well as the funky belt. Yet I have seen a few out there that don't have either item, only a regular belt. Not sure what I want to do with that.

I will probably be carrying around the 10mm pistol, which I am using an old Playstation gun for, it looks like a suitable one for the 10mm. Not exact, but enough to get the idea.

Saxter--have you thought of doing Merc Adventurer, or Merc Troublemaker outfits? Just a suggestion eh. Also Gundytron, spot-on observation on the "history"/timeline of Fallout being a sort of divergent Quantum Reality. (God I love Fallout...)

I was thinking of any and all options from 3, at the same time, I didn't want to try going for the "road warrior" look when it comes to the generics, as I wanted something recognizable. I was gonna do power armor, but realized, I just don't have the room for that. Granted, I am sure I can do just about anything from 3, as long as I have a pip-boy.

I did have a crazy idea of doing the "Gary" vault dweller. That vault where all of them are named Gary and say stuff like: "Gary, hahahaha!" I was so humored when I first went there and heard that. I can easily do that as well, if I can remember what that vault number was.

GAAAAAARY!!!! Well, I managed to finally understand the full history of 108, I never really read the holotape.

News on the costume front, I found my old PS2 gun and painted it to match a lil better to fit the 10mm pistol look. I have been working on the belt right now, and am close to done. Will be posting pics soon.

I am almost done with the belt. Just waiting on the buckle, I may even post pics of it later.

Hey gang. Finally, after getting it all set for the con, I took some pics as well.

And, one for fun!

I do need to shorten that strap on the shoulder piece. I didn't measure it right, so I gotta cut it down.
