I don't feel bad to see Alana go home. She had skill but like it was mentioned, she was getting help from people almost every week and not just in the "hey, my mold won't come apart, can you help me pry it open"

I'm glad Nicole came back with a vengeance and won the challenge, she killed t with her design.

If things don't change though, I can see Sarah going home next.

At first I was 100% against this, I looked at it as not being fair since she was already sent home once before. But since she's been back she realizes how lucky she is to have another chance. Just as long as she keeps going balls to the wall then Im cool with it.

Anyone ever notice how Hedrick never smiles or laughs. They will show a shot of the other judges smiling or laughing. The man's expressions never change. Makes me laugh every episode.

At least he stopped doing his "I'm Batman" voice all the time.

He always has a scowl on his face and plays up to the camera. I'm not a fan of Mr. Hetrick. I find Ve Neil's body of work more interesting anyway.

I thought that whoever did Glenn's makeup for this last episode could have won. They cut from one of the contestant's work to Glenn and I thought he looked just as Seussian.

I am not that impressed with this seasons contestants. Most are not using sections for their applications. They are using full face applications. In the end they are just gluing big masks to the models faces. That is really cutting down on the amount of expressions the models can do.

Still this is one of the only shows I try my best to catch every week.
Makes me want to try my hand at it.

For the critiques I see on the boards, I'm thinking the time limits dictate the techniques used to a large extent. Like the "one big appliance", I mean, they don't have extended days to do multiple casts. Right? Because they can't afford to pay the film crew overtime every day to shoot it, can they?

In any event, they are doing stuff in three days, I'd be lucky to pull off in seven. (I'm sort of a "It looked good on paper" kinda guy.)

After last weeks episode, I knew that unless there was some epic fail by someone else, Sarah was going home. I can't believe she skated by for so long without knowing what zombies or Alice in wonderland or cyborgs really looked like.

That's gotta say something that Nicole comes back and actually takes top looks on 2 of the 3 episodes.

well, i saw the final 4 coming but now, when i said that its gonna be roy or laura first, i can honestly say that each of the 4 can win this. i liked dereks more than nicoles, but not by much. Roy did overdo it a bit, which was the reason he didnt end up on top.
Lauras was just not executed very well, but it was apparent that they wont send her home with her previous work being very good, compared to sarahs mediocre work.

i really cant say who will be going home next week.

Yeah. That was...odd. I loved the cyborg with the glowing red eye. Don't see how he lost out to the chic cyborg.

The thing with Roys was that it wasn't even a cyborg. It was a zombie with an Iron jaw and a backpack on.

Derek's character actually reminded me of one of the Reanimen from the invincible comic book.

Enjoyed the latest episode and knew Sara was going home.
Her work is average but worse is she seems to not know much about the genre she wants to work in!
First it was the, "I don't know much about zombies" comment and this week she doesn't know much about cyborgs?? I cringed hearing that..

I know, those comments always made me say to myself...and your trying to be in this industry?

You think she could have simply asked another contestant : "what is a cyborg? Oh, so the robot parts have to serve a function?".

You think just by watching the two Terminator films she admitted to watching that she would have been able to pull something off that actually looked decent.
