Well done and thanks for sharing,
what I would say is you need to take a bit of time to photograph your model so that everyone can appreciate it.
inthe case of a small model, isolate it and remove any clutter, distractions from behind, by all means stick a common object like a paint pot in one shot to demonstrate how small you can work at .

next up the photo's must be in Focus , when taking a shot, same as a gun, hold your breath and sqeeze the trigger(don't pull) smoothness when depressing the shutter / button

Your painting looks good, but the grains of sand on the walker break the illusion of the scale of the model ( like water in old films , massive droplets on tiny models)
also like the figure model rule that no matter how heavy your backpack you will still stand on the surface even in mud your feet won't be that deep, you need to think about why the sand would be up on the shoulders of the At-At try and think of the story behind the ageing. If it's a sand storm sand would be trapped in out of the way placed that subsequent wind wouldn't clean away ..... At this scale probably just dry brushing might be enough.

Well done and keep it up , I have not seen these toys updated before and it looks good.
I am not being critical just trying to give you some feedback . There was a lot of views with no comment .
I wouldn't attempt something so small so kudos to you

Thank you very much for your reply Vacformedhero I really didn't expect such a light reply.I really appreciate all the things you pointed out,it now gave me a chance to look at what I could do better in the future. Will take better photos was just to lazy to use my wildlife photography skills proper so I thought my phone would do:D ,but I realize that was not the best.Yes now I understand I did not think the whole process through but this was also my very first try at streaks, oil leaks and weathering on a model also trying out paint's in different layers.I am usually one to shy away from painting models because I know I don't have the skills some of the guyes here have. And the sand was my lame attempt at adding the snow effect like on a Hoth AT-AT but I also understand now it can't be just random it should follow a plan that will fit the model

But hopefully with kind people like you who give their honest opinion and help I can just do better in the future!

Thank you very much Vacformedhero! I really did try my best and after you suggested I try and make the sand that sticks to the model more in scale .I went and scraped it off with a tooth pic and then I dried brushed it with some sand coloured acrylic paint looks way better now will add those pics too.Really want to do a larger scale AT-AT 1/48 scale maybe for a classic Hoth scene AT-AT next any body know where I can acquire a kit like that?

O and if anybody can tell me which oil colors work best for streaking and leaks and so on would love to hear about it

I'm no AT-AT expert but one I've been looking out for is a POTF walker and weather it

have a look here for some great ideas

That's a wonderful paintjob you applied ... especially since I know the real size of these tiny models ... have you seen the even smaller 1/350 scale AT-AT's made by F-toys?

Thank you very much Sym-Cha I did not think people would like what I did with it since most only know the somewhat clean Hoth at-at.But I am glad you guys can appreciate what I did.I did see those AT-AT'S they come in packets of two saw on one of the other AT-AT model threads you had a pack of 5 if I am correct.really sweet AT-AT's for a hoth diorama on small scale would love to do something like that with those tiny beast's.But for now really hoping to get a larger scale AT-AT for a classic HOTH AT-AT stepping on lukes snow speeder or the Endor AT-AT really love the AT-AT'S they are my favourite vehicle in star wars :D

So I bought an MPC AT-AT kit of eBay should receive it in a week or two.Going to do this one a classic Hoth style AT-AT and I got a snow speeder with it both same scale so cant be used together. But more on the snowspeeder at another time. What I want to know is what do you guy's use to make the snow for dioramas or for the Hoth AT-AT scene.I have read allot about how to make the snow and so on but what would you guy's say is a good way to do it ?Love to get feedback on this

Now to do some work and finish it up putty some seams prime and get it ready for paint and make a hoth base and make myself a yea old At At on hoth

bought some styrene and styrene tubes with some brass tubes and a flak werling kit to try and fix those horrible canons. and to add a bit more detail to the AT-AT

Man, that is a tiny AT-AT! Building in the "micro scales" can be really challenging since many traditional techniques don't often work as well. Sounds like your interest is growing with the MPC 'on the scene'. I share your desire for one even larger (1/48 scale) but the only one I ever came across was a out of production SMT resin kit (actually, I think it was an early example of the LucasArts cease and desist order...) so building from scratch is now the only option. Like a dinosaur - extinct!

Keep working it and remember to have fun!
Regards, Robert

Thank Robert yea I would also like to go larger and larger I love me a good AT-AT so I have already got an 3D printed 1/35 scale AT-AT in the works and a guy also doing a commission for me on a paper craft AT-AT at 1/48 scale all set to be acuratly detailed and to replicate the studio models after those I will have satisfied my lust for AT-AT'S hahahaha.hopefully I can do the Mpc justice for now.will share all progress as I go along
