I was pondering getting some parts laser cut for the phone if anyone is up for that.

That would be pretty cool. Actual identifiable props are pretty rare on the show, but those phones play a pretty large role this season.

I have a few screencaps but they are only in SD and quite dark. I'll have to see if I can do some better ones. I'll also check to see if there's anything on the DVDs. I've not watched them and maybe there are some extras like behind the scenes stuff.

Milling it from a single piece of aluminium wouldn't be that hard I expect if one had access to such a thing. My tools are limited almost completely to hand tools. I'd love a little 3D mill/CNC machine and a miniature metal lathe but just cannot afford or justify the cost.

Absolutely and these kind of offers are always appreciated. I wasn't trying to belittle the offer at all. I suppose it could be done in two layers - one for the solid back and one with the screen part cut out and the little mic/speaker slits at the top.

So again if anyone has reference for the phones that would help. I could have these done in a few days.

I'm still looking for some decent images that show detail and scale. There is also a little hard slipcase it fits into which one sees now and then onscreen. I'm just going to have to go back through the AVI files and DVDs that I have.

I had thought about building one up from layers of styrene at one stage.

I might be able to help you out when I get back home on Sunday. I think there was a good shot of it (not head on though) at the beginning of the first episode, which I might still have on my computer in 1080.

I scanned through the first three episodes and didn't see it used anywhere. In an early part of episode 4, Fargo uses one to call Stark but Carter is still using his ordinary clamshell phone at this point. No clear shots yet but lookng..

I'd say closer to 1.5" x 3". (based on the screen shots and holding a ruler in my hand to match the position of the phone)

I'd say it looks more like 1 5/8" wide. I make belts for a living, and trust me, there's a noticeable difference. I agree about the 3 inch height though.
