I found a not too expensive one on eBay, should arrive next week, I will try to make a printable replica with fusion

progress so far :

Those renders are looking sharp(y)(y):cool: The V.K. machine was never incased within the base of the Esper machine, but simply put in front of it. Again, plenty of pics from the people who worked on the movie are available on Propsummit.com;)

ahhh seems like i didnt watched blade runner often enought :D i was allready looking trough some threads on propssummit and its truly a goldmine but maybe its just while browsing with my mobile but a lot pictures cant displayed or was on removed from phothbucket ( also saw some broken pic icons) but the infos on the screen used props are very helpfull

i know the flash unit is not the correct one but it was looking close enough and was affordable for my budget and i have now something i can use as a size reference. next problem will be the polaroid that was used for the phone like device (cant find cheap broken ones) aswell and still the alert clocks, i started to remodel the clocks for printing fake ones.

are you talking about the magnifier screen looking thing that sits next to his couch (and is also in his bedroom and in Bryant's office LOL)? or the VidPhon that sits on top of the Esper? The VidPhon doesn't have a polaroid on it but there is one randomly sitting by itself in front of the esper. It's just not attached to anything.

If you mean the magnifier, I coined it the "BeoScreen" because it's build on a B&O Beomaster audio receiver. I'm the first to have a replica so I figured that entitles me to be able to name it   . No idea what it's in-universe purpose was supposed to be but it was such a cool looking prop I had to build it. It actually has TWO Polaroids! One polaroid SX-70 and one SX-70 SONAR version. the sonar is in front and the regular one is in the back behind the screen. :)

yep thats the one i mean ,saw your replica and since then i thinking about to make a little adaption for my house phone but i have to make a printable version of the sonar cam (because money) and the domino table lighter ‍

just stumbled upon this infos on propssummit but im not sure if it really is the polaroid attached to the lower left side of the esper i think he means the grayish thing where they, in my opinion, attached a braun alert clock aswell (turned 180°)

still looking for more info about the object placed under the alert clocks on the lower right side, i think it is another flash unit.

Yeah, he's talking about this. There is a polaroid sitting on the table but it's not part of the esper.

It's also not a sonar. It's a normal red button SX-70. You can see it here in this behind the scenes test shot of the unused esper

When reproducing props from that set, you have to think like Ridley: "O.k. put that V.K. machine in front of that Esper...and, also that Polaroid camera. No! Wait...put them separately so I can see the shot and the lighting before we start shooting.":p:p:eek::eek:

Every decorative item in his apartment has legs and moves around to different rooms while he sleeps.

little update: scaled up a few parts of the front and got the screen and a few other parts printed (first one failed because there was to much suction on the FEP in the tank so the print got stuck on it in mid print, reduced thickness down from 5 to 3 mm and added extra supports.

wet sanded the screen from p180 up to p2500 i think after clear coat it will look even better, also made some progress on the front parts. had to splitt some parts to fit on normal sized printers 25*25cm
