The prototype looks great! Will be really interesting to see the final Aztec pattern in the saucer when they’re finished. It looks like they’ve muted the strong back a bit to look more grey with a hint of engineering green; maybe a tiny bit more green would be good . The secondary hull Aztec pattern looks amazing; it’s more accurate than a lot of the builds I’ve seen (more long rectangles instead of random squares). You can tell they’ve got a great team of experts. Great job!!

Totally agree! :)

More the merrier. I love seeing people enjoying this hobby. Boring if it’s just us geeks. lol! Though you do make me laugh Fett!

Thank you, I try.(y)

I did not know if there was significance to it.

Long live Tomy, ....if they make my beloved Excelsior, Ent E, F, Reliant, and what the heck, the Bird of Prey and K Cruiser for the boys.

Tomy are doing the lord's work. I'm so happy they went ahead with the Refit. If they keep making 'em (hey, with maybe an emphasis on the 80's movie era ships...Grissom, anyone?) then I'm happy to keep buying 'em.

What DO you think is happening for the next ship? This one obviously is going to make enough cash to warrant another, I would hope.

I think it would most likely be a slightly larger (than TOS or Refit), 1/500 scale (or thereabouts) Enterprise D. (I'm just spitballing, but the D is like double the size of the Refit right?)

Does anybody know if they have the Next Gen (and later) rights, or are they confined to the TOS and Shatner-era cinematic universe?

If they don't have access to that sandbox, then I would think a bad guy two-pack would be the play? maybe? A TOS Romulan BoP and Klingon cruiser? In scale they would both be half the mass of Enterprise or less.

Bad guys never sell as many ships as good guys tho, so that's kinda dicey. And Reliant and Excelsior/Ent.-B are getting into niche/deep-cut territory, might make hitting pledge goals rough.

I hope they linger a bit with the movie era ships; the reliant, Ktinga, excelsior, or even a TOS D7, but my brain tells me that it’s projected revenue first and foremost, which makes me think it will be the enterprise-d.

I felt like there may have been a *wink at the enterprise-a from one of the videos, since it allow them to make the most out of the mold/R&D before destroying them.

Yeah I also think it's the D. Or a Klingon D7...hopefully the K'tinga from The Undiscovered Country.

I actually think either would be profitable. The D would be another major hit.
