I saw somewhere that a guy used electrical terminal strips to DIY his engine vents, but I can't seem to find it anywhere now. Anyone know where I can find pics? image.jpeg
Im a ways away from this part of my build, but I like to think a lot before I act. This 29" Falcon is gonna be boss!

Hi
I had done a test , I cut the metal bars out of the block which meant they could flex to the curved shape

I haven't worked on models in a while I need to get back to them.

Hi all,
i´m new here in this forum and started my first modeling ever, with a Hasbro Millennium Falcon :)
I have also a question about the rear engine. What kind of plastic can i take for a diffused effect with Led´s?

Like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9SYshyfXco at 5:50

I tasted a Acrylglas opal white 79% in 2mm and there is no diffused effect :( i can see the individual Led´s???

Hope someone has a tip for me?

THX

In one of the shots there I bought a plastic waste paper bin from ikea and cut a strip out which diffused it nicely , cheap bin as well

Hey DarthFlatus, I've used the electrical terminal, you can find pics here: http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=251528
Hope you find it helpful to make your decision.

I've been away from models lately, but will be back to finish this project some time soon.
Regards,
MB.

If it does not get warm at all you can use regular photocopy paper or a white plastic bag cut in to strips. My favourite is that thin flexible polystyrene packing sheet used to protect nes TVs.
Also you can try moving the LEDs further away to avoid 'hot spots', that may make them easier to diffuse

So is there someone who makes a PE grill that wraps around the side of the cockpit for the Hasbro Falcon anywhere? I've been searching for that part for some time now and not seen it anywhere.
