El Fetts ASM2 WIP using Orhadars print.

Re: Redtogusa's ASM2 WIP using Orhadars print.

This is looking so cool!
Can I ask what are the downside of puffy paint? I know latex is more stretchable but is there other advantage?

Thx!

This is awsome o wish I had the balls to apply to mine bit im keeping mine flare print and making a second suit far cheaper to do the 3d all over it

Puff paint is pretty good and in all honesty easier to apply but it does tend to dry out over time and crack whereas, in theory, that shouldn't happen with the latex.

Sorry for the lack of updates guys, fraid it's not looking good for further updates either. My wife and I have decided to sell our appartment and downsize with the aim of making some cash to go globe trotting with sometime in the future.
So while we're focusing on that pretty much all my projects are stopping for now.
I'm probably gonna have to put Spidey into storage for now.

With that being the case I'm actually thinking about selling it and getting another one when I'm settled in my new place.
If anyone is interested pls feel free to PM me. The webbing is unfinished, it needs one glove/arm, the boots, a shoulder and small parts of the belt finishing but I'd give you the tools and instructions you'd need to finish it.
If no one wants it I'll just hold onto it and finish it later. I don't wanna put up a FS thread just now cos it's just an idea atm.

Re: Redtogusa's ASM2 WIP using Orhadars print.

I'm sure somebody will snatch it off your hands immediately! Someone like...me perhaps?! PMing you right now.

Re: Redtogusa's ASM2 WIP using Orhadars print.

Redtogusa's TASM2 latex webbing project has made it over safely across the pond and is now at casa de El Fett. I promise everyone pictures of the finished deal once I'm done with it :) Thanks again for letting me finish this Red!

Re: Redtogusa's ASM2 WIP using Orhadars print.

By the powers invested in me I officially hand this thread over to El Fett.
Looks real nice with the lenses attached mate. McLeans lenses just bring it to life.
I look forward to seeing it finished.

I was sad to see that you were having to hang up on this project dude, but glad it's gone to another dedicated member :thumbsup

Red has already done an awesome job so far on it. I'll will try my best to match the quality to finish off the piece for a consistent look.

Re: Redtogusa's ASM2 WIP using Orhadars print.

I can finally give everyone that was following this thread, a little closure :)

I finished the latex webbing in time to wear last night for Halloween. No blue puff paint though, just webs and added shell/eye and soles. Not sure yet if we'll tackle the blue puff paint on this yet, haven't decided since it's a little time consuming and I have a couple other projects I'm focusing on right now. Anyways, without further ado, I give you, Spidey and Black Cat for Halloween! Featuring Ohradar's print, Mclean's TASM2 shell/eye system and Redtogusa's latex mix webbings!

It feels pretty solid with the webbing on it, it even adds a little weight to the suit once it's all done. The challenging part was getting the same tone and width to what Red had already done on the suit...

but once I had the right mix, it was easy to just draw in the straight lines of the new suit:

Unfortunately, since I was wearing it last night, I didn't get to snap more pictures of ourselves but I'll be at Comikaze tomorrow and hopefully I can get a couple more good up close shots of it worn.

Happy Halloween guys!

Just lovely! Looking forward to seeing it in person tomorrow if possible. I'll be at the Con in my ultimate suit, didn't finish the latex on my ASM2 suit in time for this event. Hope we can cross paths. :)
