I think the price is fair considering how much Boba Fett helmets go for. The way I see it is you can either get a repainted Rubies helmet or Sith Planet helmet for the same mid-level price range, both of which are not good quality helmets. This is a far better option (once it's actually released whenever that will be). Or you can spend over $600 for a good painted resin/fiberglass helmet.
$200, yeah. $300 maybe if the paint job (incredibly tricky, layered, etc.) is good maybe. Again I love the line but it's plastic. For $380 plus shipping and taxes, etc. You said it perfectly. You can get a excellent fiberglass version from several makers for just $200 more. If your gonna spend $400, spend the extra to get a much better helmet.
Just my opinion. If it's worth it to people, enjoy.
I just checked on the "Bait" site. It would be $424 total to me. It also does not state weather it's paying in full or when it ships. Based on EFX and Anovos' behavior I won't do any business unless it's only charged when it ships. Regardless $424 for a plastic helmet. Even if the paint job turns out perfect I don't think I can justify this. We'll see when some people actually have it in hand.
Plus EFX is evil so I would be dancing with the devil. Never a good thing.
When the finished helmet looks so good..its a nobrainer for this price.PCR or not.2 layers of fiberglass in the helmet and you have a very cheap fiberglass boba with a great paintjob. Also nice for trooping. And the electric range finder is also a big plus.
For that good of a paint job the price is really nice. I have a lower end Boba Fett with the weathering painted right on top and it was only $260. If this paint app is layered then we can't complain for the price.
Hell I got quoted $400 to have my helmet repainted correctly in layers. To Rich for my blood.
The old MR Boba had also a nice paintjob.I think they could do it here the same way.Its not a handpainted job in layers I think...but looks also great.
