I did a search and didn't see another Thread about this yet.

Got the new Efx newsletter. Resin Stunt Lightsabers sound pretty cool. If the price is right I hope to add some to my collection.

I see those sabers being a big seller if what we are seeing in the pic is the actual piece.

Re: Efx Newsletter- New Resin Stunt Lightsabers

It seems like a great solution to the problem of how do you sell the same old sabers again and again.

Make them accurate, plastic, and affordable.

Re: Efx Newsletter- New Resin Stunt Lightsabers

Id like to know if theyd do a line of unmetallized resin sabers, just plain resin, for cheap.

I doubt it. These are marketed at costumers, the ComicCon and Dragon-con/501st crowd, not DIY guys like us. Most costumers do fantastic on the cloth parts of the costume, not as well on the prop parts.

I bet these will be showroom ready. I'm excited about these, I hope they look good.

Those look pretty good! I always wanted Airfix/MPC/ERTL to do a line of saber model kits with vaccuum metalised finish.....this could possibly be the answer....if the price is right.

These will be chromed resin, and IIRC will be in the $100 range :thumbsup

Re: Efx Newsletter- New Resin Stunt Lightsabers

Great for costuming at conventions and other events. But for my saber collection I'd rather have a 'real' saber, out of aluminium or steel.
I'm sure this will be a hit.

Re: Efx Newsletter- New Resin Stunt Lightsabers

Yeah, there's a museumreplicas.com thread somewhere where these were hashed over. I started yelling loudly to get people to post that they want more. Chromed resin? A Dooku, Windu, or OB TPM would be nice...

Thats too bad, id love to get some unfinished resin sabers that I know are exact. ive collected Resin sabers since it was fashionable around here. Pre MR. Pre icons even.

Yeah I had a look at these on museumreplicas website a few weeks back. I love the copper chrome on the neck of the ROTJ Luke, I hope they go with that colour on the final production piece.

There is some other cool SW stuff on there as well like replica Obi & Ani Belts with pouches and food capsules.

Don't expect them to be accurate to the production pieces, i'm sure they'll be idealized.

Re: Efx Newsletter- New Resin Stunt Lightsabers

Where can anyone get these resin sabers now 'a days?

Re: Efx Newsletter- New Resin Stunt Lightsabers

Heck with the plastic sabers, hows about those models? Is there a thread already about the new scaled down models they will be offering?
