It's the top coat that kills it... looks like it's covered in plastic.

It doesn't look like they're doing a chrome basecoat for it.

For a moment it looked okay, but then looking up again what the Armorerer looks like, the finish of the EFX just isn't quite there. I wonder if it's possible to remove some of the weathering to bring up the gold underneath. I think the weathering looks fine, but maybe it's dulling the color of the helmet too much.

EFX Armorer Helmet

This helmet is very dark. The last photo shows the EFX with a T&A Workshop helmet from several years ago. I like the EFX, but it doesn't look as metallic as many expect.
