Yes the boots are mine. The buckles are a problem in that the bottom two don't lock back properly. The problem was solved on mine by having strong magnets placed on the buckles that hold them in place.@ magpie, Are these yours?! they look great. i'm currently using vintage hi-points as my base for plissken boots. i've gotten a set of vintage ski boots for the buckles and a friend of mine is doing the shin plate for me. i feel pretty confident about the top three, but do you have any issue with the bottom two or any of the buckles not staying locked back, or coming undone? that has me a little worried, because its not like they spring lock back in place, they rely on tension from the cable. the top ones are anchored far enough back around the calves to retain that kind of tension, but the bottom two make me nervous... any input or help???
thanks

Hope this helps.
what they are, are vintage 70's era ski boot buckles. i managed to track some down on eBay, BUT... the problem is finding boots that have a) 5 buckles per side and b) wide enough buckles to work for the look.Does anyone know where I could find those boot buckles, or someplace that can make them? My search is turning up one giant goose egg.
Thanks for the info, Spylocke. I'm going to inquire to a machinist company soon in a town about an hour away from me because they said they do "any job, big or small". I assume the boot needs to be finished first so they can have accurate dimensions for the curvature of the shin plates to plug into the CAD, but I'll find out for sure after I make my inquiry.
I'll keep you informed here.

i've been told by a couple metal artists' to look into blacksmiths. that that is something more in their realm.
Damn, how lucky you are, bdude! Those are a sweet pair.
Where in Florida were you? I live in the Tampa Bay area!
in regards to this shirt... i just got mine today, and it has a bit TOO much shine for me. i'm now waiting on fabric samples of several different blends of spandex from spandexworld.com, and i'll probably use this shirt as a pattern and swap out the zippers. good thing i can sew, i guess huh? :ninjabdude93, you are my hero! That shirt is too sweet!
