Early Millennium Falcon Pics

I've just checked the 1/9 Kettengrad on studioscale but no joy. Tried the Hummel too. No luck.

This is one of the part maps I'm tinkering up. I've got the rest of the engine covered in other pics. Let me know if I'm off base with anything. Plan to do my own thread with links to a few of these to see what else can be turned up. In fact I think there are also 1/15 Hummel track links used underneath the Panzer III parts. This is still WIP.

The topmost yellow parts are from the Tamiya 1:25 Centurion.

Nice find on the Centurion parts Flint.
No problem on casting up the parts from the Panther G or anything else needed.
Look forward to seeing the Parts Maps & what else we can find on this big bird.
The Jagdpanther has alot of similar parts but also has some parts that are used on other models aswell like the Death Star Turbo Laser Tower.

Hi,

Would it be a pain to post up some sprue pictures of the 1/24 Panther, as per the Studioscale stuff? - I've not found any such images on the net so far and it would be really handy for me to look through and add to my part maps ( which I'll be posting up soon for advise and the benefit of others)

Cheers
Nick

Hey guys, regarding the talk of panther/jagdpanthers, am I wrong in thinking that the 3 panther hulls on the engine deck are Tamiya 1/35th?, or are they in fact 1/24th hulls?.

The ID's going on here is just incredible, thanks chaps.

Hi,

I understand they are Tamiya 1/35. The larger Bandai tooling has the middle part of the engine deck as a separate section. Whereas the ones used on the MF are clearly one integral part.

Great Bandai scans dude, thanks for putting these up.:thumbsup

Thanks Nick for confirming the Panther hulls, I have 3 of these so 3 less kits to get lol!

Hey, fantastic Omes72. I think I'd better register for your site if you have goodie like this on show. I've got scans of the AMT 1/25 Kenworth Alaskan Hauler, AMT Paystar 5000 ( though not sure if thats a donor kit) the Aurora Valkyire, Bandai 1/24 King Tiger, and a few others I can share.

I got the ESCI R75 myself recently and have added finds to my part maps. I was just about to post them up, but now I can see the Panther G sprues I'll just go back in and amend a few bits.

I'm starting to think that we may actually be able to nail this between us :)

Nick I have scans of the Bandai's at my site
Studio Scale ModelerS

Just scored the Esci 1/9 BMW R75 with Sidecar.

Y Wing score also! But... unfortunately, I don't think I'll ever be able to grab this one. Consider yourself extremely lucky.

And... thanks for posting.

I think the 1:24 Tiger is also a Y kit... but can't confirm ... I'm not rich, ya know?!

Im happy to cast parts from kits for anyone.
Nick If your going to do design a starter kit or base plans & Parts Maps for other modelers to have a chance at living the dream I am going to help you any way I can.
Im just in the middle of a move right now so can only do minor work for a short period.
So Im using this time to collect kits.

Thanks for your support!

Yes, that's pretty much what I had in mind. I've got 11 part maps to post up shortly ( first of many I fear). Mostly with confirmed ID's but a fair few unknowns. I'll start a new thread for clarity.

I think that life is too short for successive people to have to keep re-inventing the wheel on this, or end up bidding against each other on Ebay over tank kits! :) I do think people like Basher and those others around here who have got a long way with their big Falcons deserve massive credit for the work and dedication...and hard cash! that's been required to get them so far.

If I can get a good set of part maps done they will remain public domain, and once I start my build, if people want to buy some casts of key sections I'd be prepared to do that. I don't expect there to be a big take up on this as its a very big model and simply not practical for most folks to display.

Cheers

I have your Speeder kit & just love it.
Beautiful work by yourself, Neil & Mike.
Good news is we get to move into our house next week so I will be set up not long after that.
Anything I can contribute to this project is yours.

I just got Randy's 9ft Star Destroyer bridge kit. It's awesome to say the least. Please when you are done get together with him and turn this beauty into a kit.

This is the only thing I am missing in the Millenium Falcon Collection.
