Me either, got one on pre-order. Will be adding a lot of detail to the inner boxes to make it a bit more real, like the fantastic artwork from space1999.com a few years back.

No upturned dingys for me :lol

Might order a second to do the lab version with the booster set on top ( when someone offers the booster set )

Why would you need to add more detail to a model that is packed with detail?

Because l have OCD! I can never open a box without thinking...that can be more detailed. I know its a curse and extends the build time of everything....but thats just the way my brain works.....DAMN IT!

Why does it say "MPC" under "SPACE: 1999"? Isn't Round 2 making this accessory?

Also, I am definitely buying one of these. But from an engineering standpoint, it's a large model - will the plastic dorsal framework be strong enough to fully support this model? With no sag or creep or danger of breaking? Will the framework be plastic or metal? When I was a kid I had the MPC eagle, and when the passenger module was removed, it was very delicate. Just wondering . . .

Round2 owns MPC among many others and the license for Space 1999!

No small aluminum bells for the thrusters on the side of the landing gear boxes ?
For me this makes no sense. Hopefully someone will offer them seperately.

I know I shouldn't, I have a ton of unbuilt kits waiting for me to finish my 5 year build of my 1/350 refit but this is way too tempting. I will have to see where I am money-wise after Dragon Con. thanks for the info.

Oh, and there will be a second accessory kit of the pod mounted RCS thruster rockets in lovely machined aluminum. Priced around $25-30. This was announced in the latest blog update.
