    Really looking forward to this.
Many thanks to everyone that made this happen.

I gotta say, even though I never got into Space: 1999, I always did like the Eagle. I had a big toy of it when I was a kid, seems like it was maybe close to this size? Although, I was pretty little, so I may be remembering it bigger than it was...

Pre-orders are around $80; there's an accessory kit (metal engine bells and spring-loaded landing gear etc.) that ups the price to $120. Still pretty reasonable for this subject in this scale. Amazing!

Tower Hobbies and Hobbylinc both have it listed. However, I'm waiting to hear about the $120 kit. I'm sure it will be like the R2's TOS 350 Enterprise -- base kit plus an extras kit. I also predict kit add ons later - like nuclear waster carrier, lab pod, spine booster etc. Good range of possibilities.

Now, wheres my 48 scale Hawk? and Ultra probe? And Meta Probe? and Swift and Superswift. Ok, I'll stop now.

Retail price on the Eagle will be $115. You can pre-order it for around $81 from various online shops like Hobbylinc. I highly doubt the aluminum acc. set is going to be just $30 or so dollars. That's a lot of aluminum and will probably cost as much as the regular kit, about $100.

I have been re watching the series lately... So the timing is perfect.
Guess I'll have to pick this up, thankfully I won't have to spend the extra money on a resin kit.

Wonder Fest Weekend with Jamie Hood of Round2 Models, Jamie Anderson of Anderson Entertainment, Jim Small of Small Art Works, Gordon Moriguchi and Don Hayunga! This kit is unbelievable, and is going to be more than likely under $100.......

Re: Eagle Transporter 22" coming November from Round 2

Apparently the Wonderfest kit was 3-d printed mockup and R2 is awaiting Ok from copyright owners (a formality I hear) to proceed with actual production.

If the kit sells, they mentioned 48 scale alternate versions - side boosters, lab pod, nuclear carrier etc. the eagle had about a Alternate dozen configs .

However, they also mentioned doing a 48 scale Hawk if it sells well! :eek

How odd! As a holding company for so many product ranges, you'd think at the very least they would want to generate 'buzz'... I suppose that tends to go under the "Facebook" paradigm these days. Prob with FB is it is ephemeral in nature due to its' timeline-based process. Works fine for those with limited attention spans but doesn't impart much longevity. Compare product ads in magazines that run for several issues - they will last for months. With FB, you're lucky if something lasts for days.

I was making a joke regarding "limited attention spans" by saying "What were we talking about again"? Then I added a laughing emoticon to underline the fact that it was "supposed" to be funny or slightly amusing. I guess I failed.

Re: Eagle Transporter 22" coming November from Round 2

Sorry, didn't mean to imply any personal shortcomings for FB users! My point is the 'constant pressure from the top' pushes stuff 'down' the timeline, and then out of sight (so even if you have a 'long attention span' it is still gone unless you start 'digging'.) The more 'friends', the higher the content flow, the faster the expiration. This is a feature of FB (not the users!) It makes it somewhat a poor tool for items that require persistence in the web-space. Again, "ephemeral" in nature.

But, gladly my comment generated some mirth - for which I am grateful! ;^P

    Turn-to, carry on ship's work.

Hey, not to stir a pungent pot, but what is the consensus on the size of the "real" Eagle craft? I vaguely recall an analysis of the apparent size based on design features and the set sizes (where have I seen that sort of thing before - ha! Ship of riddles, eh?) I was trying to verify the "scale" of a resin kit that someone was offering a while back... Eagletransporter.com forum, perhaps... I'm digging hoping to find those resources again, now that "nice" kit may be within reach.

Here are a few words from Jamie Hood of Round2 Models, this may answer some of your questions.

Round 2 Models: Wonderfest 2015 Space:1999 Eagle Announcement
    posted by JamieH 10:58 AM
    Tuesday, June 16, 2015
This year’s Wonderfest will be one to remember for me I’m sure. It may rival the shows where we announced or showed our 1:350 scale TOS U.S.S. Enterprise. The trip was fun all around. Instead of doing one long post about the show, I’m going to split up some topics through a few posts and I’ll put them up over the next few weeks. (no… really… I mean it this time. I’ve already written them. I just need to “publish” them…) I’ll cover the “big news” in this one.
I think most attendees were (happily) surprised to see the main attraction at our booth this year was a mockup of our upcoming Space:1999 Eagle Transporter. It’s a bit shy of 22” long and is based on the 44” filming miniature. Our team of consultants on the kit is comprised of Jim Small, Daniel Prud’homme who supplied the CAD model and Chris Trice. The model features spring-loaded landing gear and comes injected in white and gray with clear windows. The only interior details will be the pilot figures with a back wall in the nosecone. The retail price is targeted at about $100, but that will vary by retailer. I understand some have already started taking preorders. I’ll post more pics of the mockup later on.
One other thing to mention… Some people get confused when they see “subject to licensor review” like they saw on the little sign next to the mockup. In some cases, we put that statement on there voluntarily and sometimes it is required by the licensor. The true meaning of that can vary, but it essentially means what it says. The licensor has the right to review the product and can ask for changes from what you see. It has nothing to do with “permission” to make a product. The licensor is aware that it is being developed, and the rights to manufacture it have already been resolved through the licensing agreement. In an ideal world, the licensor would have had a chance to review it before we put it on display, but in this particular case the mockup arrived on my desk about a week before the show. Since I was busy prepping for that I never had time to properly photograph it to send to the licensor for their approval of it.
