I recently tried to watch this series but I just couldn't get into it. However I do like the designs of the ships an bought this kit yesterday.

Re: Eagle Transporter 22" coming November from Round 2

Ordered the deluxe kit.

Do the profiles on the rcs kit seem right, or really round?

If anyone picks up the lighting kit from Cultman; I'd love to see pics. Not much info to go on.

Scifitodd That, sir, is truly amazing. A scratch-built Eagle is on my build list (probably not until next year) and I hope you'll allow me to ping you for reference! :)

always loved space 1999 as a kid, I don't have any of the models, but ever since seeing articles about the studio models in Sci-Fi and Fantasy magazine the 44 inch brass frame eagle is a long term hope to build it,
your collection is very nice, and very well presented .....well done.
this round 2 model is probably the closest to being able to build the 44inch model practically ......must resist
SciFitodd you should do a thread on your collection , well worth talking about and we might learn something about the various kits .

yes anyone who grew up with it in the seventies ignores the clothing , styles and even the pacing of the show , watching now is really watching it out of time, for me the real draw was the space ship scenes , when your younger and back then very little for a SciFi buff to watch, thankfully Blakes 7 and space 1999 kept me alive ;)

Re: Eagle Transporter 22" coming November from Round 2

Of course, "space" was a much more exciting subject to the general public back then as well... now, not so much apparently.

Too bad we can't forgo all the warring and abuse to start heading out "there" en mass.

Regards, Robert

Is that an Ultraprobe in the background? That's one I'm really hoping round2 have a go at......:)

Yes, an Ultra Probe and Meta probe. I talked with Jamie over dinner and a beer at WonderFest and they are open to just about anything as long as it sells. And this 22" eagle has already sold out the first wave. Second and third batches have been ordered.

So, I'm guessing there must be interest for a Hawk and Eagle Tanks?

Yes, an Ultraprobe would be so great - a full 3ft ship in scale with the PE Eagles. That`s my personal favorit...

I would definitely buy an Ultraprobe. That's been on my "grail" list for decades now!

If Round2 does any kits they will be in scale to the 22" eagle. They won't do anymore new kits in the 12" anymore. I think they will put out another eagle kit, such as the Metamorph eagle before they do the hawk kit, just because it has to be completely new tooling. Just my two cents is all that is. I would like the hawk and an eagle type laser tank too!

I got an email from Forbidden Planet UK saying that there were problems with supplies and expected stock & delivery should be March??:sick

For those in the UK, the customs charge was £25.93, meaning it cost about £126 landed to the UK from HLJ. So a fair amount more expensive than the UK retailer options.
