Duct Tape Gauntlets

So a few months ago I got bored and I wanted to build something. I've never been particularly good at crafts so i figured I'd use something easy to build with. I started building gauntlets using PVC insulation foam and duct tape and I was really happy with the results but now I have a problem. The duct tape keeps peeling and getting sticky and unattractive, does anyone have a suggestion for how to fix this? I was thinking maybe I could paint/spray some sort of resin on or something but I honestly don't know where to start. This is my first time doing anything like this.

If you take pics, we may be able to offer some suggestions. But my first thought is that you may want to abandon duct tape in favor of Gorilla tape. Has a much better bond.

I built my "Duct Tape Mask" with craft foam and tape. (Was bored and wanted to build something) I used contact cement below every layer of tape. Worked for me.
