Dr. Doom Build...WIP...(newbie at this)

I love your unique take on the helmet!
Your initial pep build was great, and that is what helps the most. When I built my Doom helmet, I had a small amount of warping along the upper lip, and I had to fill quite a bit to correct it.
Can you get the helmet on without any issues?

Your sketch is very ambitious.. I hope you see nothing but success!

I have a very small amount of warping in my upper lip as well. It occurred in the middle, on the underneath side. I figured that I would just work with that to give it a mild down turn of the mouth. I will see how well that works out for me lol. The helmet was snug, but I am able to squeeze into it still. We will see about that when I put some very thin foam padding in it.

Thanks on the sketch. I will probably deviate a little on the knee areas and the forearm, but I would like to keep it as close as possible everywhere else as of right now...unless the creative process takes me for a different turn for the better.

I stand corrected on the helmet still fitting... Somewhere between the resin applications it has shrunk up just enough that I can't get it on now. I will have to cut like you did.

Small progress update...

I had filled in around the eyes to cut back out more precisely with a dremel. Worked on building up and filling in some low areas and cutting some detail into the left side of the helmet. I had drawn out some guide lines to work off of on the helmet to cut in on the chin area and around the left eye to help keep it all straight. More work is needed, but this is where I'm at right now.

As a newbie who is also doing a Doom mask as my first pep build, same file but I used 3mm foam, yours looks great. Do you have any other pieces of his armor started?
Keep up the good work.

I haven't started on the armor yet. I wanted to finish the mask first and then move on to working on the armor all at once. BSD has files for the armor that will work as a base for what I want to do i think. How do you like the foam?

The foam isn't that hard to work with but does have a learning curve. I have a few gaps at angles between pieces and I think I got to much hot glue on the outside. It did let me skip alot of the thin pieces that provide depth but then you have to fudge the assembly a little to compensate for the missing numbers.

Hey anyway you could point me in the direction of those armor files you talked about???
I'm doing a doom and my helmet is getting closer to complete and I'm tripping out about doing the armor!!

You had best get some stuff done NcognitoMagneto!!!!!!! Archon will be here October 4th!
