Looking good! I don't think I can work with those paper based models. They do look amazing tho.
What color red will you be using? Have you found brand?
I'm having issues finding out what color code they used in the movies.

cheese'n'rice Stealth your a pepping machine! Glad to see your still on top of this project. I wish I had the drive you do to pep a suit, I always have problems scaling and hate having to re cut all those tiny little pieces.....

Small update.
I pepped the Cod piece.
I may have to modify it a little, I scaled it at 1.49. It fits me bang on but I want a little bit more room for the abs/spine piece.
I may have to pep out the front and back of the cod at a higher scale (1.52) and replace the current crotch and butt plate on it, which should give me a little more
room. That'll do it
I was gonna do a thigh tonight but just realized I ran out of cardstock. bah...
I have 3 sheets left. Guess I'll just modify the cod. It's JUST enough to do that.

I have to say,I have such respect for anyone that tackles this build type. The pep,the fiberglass,then resin,then bondo and sanding for days! And to use this method to create a whole suit is beyond incredible. I have been following your build and I'm super impressed with your dedication and talent. As always I'll be tuned into your updates

This will probably be my last pep build to be honest.
I only really want suits to wear for fun at halloween or conventions
I'd be happier just creating from scratch with foam like Don Robert does.
It's really inspiring because I really like it to have superior mobility.
Graphic Jordan was inspired and he's doing a great job with that medium as well.
Another reason is waiting for spring/summer to come around to use fillers and what not outside.
I don't have anywhere to work in the winter. So this style of building is not for me.
I made a white ranger shield before and I freehanded it pretty well.
It took 1/10 of the time to make it would have if it was pepped I think lol.
This will be a lot of work to finish but I'll get it done this year.

I'll see what happens after I finish this project.
If anything, I'll still pep stuff for you guys to finish into awesome props.
Here's an update:
Cut out the faceplate, back section. Helmet fits great.
Thanks to Bimmer for unfolding that file at smaller scale a long while back.
I Scratch built some abs/spine section templates out of cardboard and glassed those.
Very simple design for now. Not much detail.
Everything is really rough right now and needs to have the excess fiberglass trimmed off from the edges.
I'm really anxious to get out and sand this stuff down.
I sanded the right side of the chest a bit this morning, to see how easy it was to sand down the "epoxamite" cause it was bugging me.
I shouldn't have went for that second coat of epoxamite on it.
One coat is enough for exterior.
I learned that after doing the chest.
I'll clean it up though. No worries
I also need to Shave :S

Even if you slow it down, pop in every now and then to amaze us with a prop or two. Your'e too good at it! This hobby is you. BTW love your helmet and Chest RT can't wait to see it done. I love this hobby. I just might change mediums in the future to better suit my needs in terms of climate and working space etc.
I would have to adapt with different mediums to get my fix of costuming down the road.

hey guys.
Finally got around to building a duct tape mannequin. Now that my parts are on it. It cleared a lot of clutter in the room.
Plus it makes for a bad ass display for now until I can get outside and work on the suit.
This also gives me a great perspective on proportions. Which all seems to be sufficient for my taste. I don't think I need to change any scales.
Everything fits and I'm happy with them so far.
The legs are next and it may be a different story for scaling.

Mannequin looks great Stealth, is it just duct tape or did you use something as a base? I've got a pile of pieces sitting in the study and want to set up something similar, if you don't mind me borrowing your idea

Magna I could be wrong but I believe stealth uses Smooth Cast 300 to harden his pep. It's what I use.
