Mannequin looks great Stealth, is it just duct tape or did you use something as a base? I've got a pile of pieces sitting in the study and want to set up something similar, if you don't mind me borrowing your idea

Would any of you want a quick tutorial on making one? I took pictures a long the way anyays. Also a small video.

Would greatly appreciate the duct tape mannequin tutorial. Most of the links I've found searching for how to make one are geared towards women and dress making. Also, great job on your IM so far. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

To those interested in the Duct tape dummy/mannequin

Bamabat made a great tutorial on the 405th a couple of years ago

It's what I based mine off of with a tiny bit of altering.
The majority of the plans were followed

My fave part about your build stealth... is that the shoulders are small like they should be... too often people make the shoulders on their Iron Man builds too large.

My fave part about your build stealth... is that the shoulders are small like they should be... too often people make the shoulders on their Iron Man builds too large.

Thanks guys. I really am picky about proportions.

I've told some others that have questioned the shoulders to leave them.
You're right GJ .
They're really not that large on the hero suit

Thanks for the link about the mannequin. Shame you need other people to help as I don't have much confidence in my "friends" to help me with it. :eek I'll just have to wait 'til my brother is in town to help me.

Progress -March. 29. 2011

I'm starting this build again. I was unhappy with some aspects of the previous attempt.
I usually start over if I'm unhappy with things.

So far I''ve uploaded pics of the helmet resined with one coat on the outside.
My plan is Clay over Pep for just the helmet.

I picked a simple file to build.
This is an older File Bimmer modfied that Sharkead modified of his own file and dungbeetle's (I think. Correct me if Im wrong)

I liked the proportions as it was modeled off of the bust helmet.
It didn't take too long to build and it will serve as a good base for sculpting over.

I will strengthen the inside next and start sculpting once I can secure a good stand from the inside.

I will be documenting the whole process to give transparency to the project.

I'm exicted to be building again.
Wish me luck.

I'm using Pepakura Designer 3 but i noticed that not all the files are with numbers (you understood?) can u give me the files that you are using for the entire armor?
what's the right scale? I mean....i'm taking my measures and i'm trying to insert them in the program!

Yeah, the suit looks great. Shoulders are perfect size.
