When detemined enough, people will find ways to make stuff.
I make helmets by starting off with aluminum foil on my head. 2-4 layers.
Not only does it keep the voices out and prevent aliens from reading your mind, it makes for a perfect fit helmet! You don't need padding if it is for your head. Everyones head is a little bit assyemetrical.
Wrap it with Duct tape and VIOLA! you have a basic helmet.
I like Freeform Air to cover the foil, and then sand it to your liking! If you just do foil and clay, you can bake it solid.
I made green lantern mask for myself and some kids with Saran Wrap over my face and their face, the sculpt the mask out of FreeForm air. Perfect fit.
Since I wanted copies, I made a mold and bunches of copies.
