Does anyone have info. on the Snowtrooper Ab. disk??

I'm looking for this center disk. It appears to be a stamped steel disk...perhaps some flashlight, or electrical equipment battery compartment cover. Maybe someone knows the original piece???

Does anyone have any leads to getting this piece in metal? I tried Kenny, but this is one that he hasn't done. It would be nice if if were indeed steel since machining it from aluminum to look like the original (specifically the thin edges) would be difficult.

Any info. is more than is known at this time. Blizzard Force has seen an increase in demand for this piece in metal and I thought no better place to look than here:)

I know Dan Laws got it. But i have treid to get reply from him the last 8 month but No reply. I bought a kit and some parts were missing.

Also there is arround 7 members now on the Nordic Garrison who is still waiting for their long delayed suits for 7 month over the time. I hope he will personally soon reply.

Oh, I have a kit from Dan....had it for a couple years, but just getting around to bulding it:$ It has the resin piece, but I'm just looking for this in metal.

The first thing that pops into my head when I see that is Norelco rotary shaver...
Some sort of shield or cover or something. Prolly no help sorry.

Sorry can't help with sources on this, but doesn't this piece appear elsewhere. I'm sure I identified this part on a side console on the Falcon.

Never been IDed.
It's also on the rebel field radio used by Solo and also on the ankles of the Giger Alien.

Short of metal stamping, vacuum form it out of thin plastic.

I am sculpting one right now, but I have only pictures from the front. Could someone post a picture from an angle or the side, please?

My guess is that it is part of the packaging for some kind of pills: medicine or candy.
From previous threads and a better picture of this same exact disc, I have been able to learn that the dimensions are 10-11 mm for the "pills", 30 mm for the raised disc, 40 mm outer diameter.
The nails are slightly out of alignment, so I don't think that there are any holes in the outer rim on the original part.

You can cover a resin disc in Bare Metal foil to get a real metal surface, but the foil can be as easily scuffed as paint.
I had been thinking of covering a cast of my finished sculpt with some thin malleable sheet aluminum and rubbing it until it gets the right shape.
For you guys in the Nordic Garrison (countries): The metal sleeve from a Sw:Värmeljus. (I don't know what that is called in English)

Vacuuforming plastic with a thin layer of metal is available, but I don't think that vacuuforming would catch the details properly.

Metall sleve? what part are you reffering to?
I will be doing only one, so I will use something that would otherwise be thrown in the trash once the candle has burned down.
Here, I am hotlinking a pic on the 'Net:

I noticed that the metal sleeve is quite malleable.
