As I said, I'm thinking about it. Once I have one of the casts I'll make my own strap to fit it and then decide if I want to do a run.

yeh, apologies...I remember you saying now. The trick is trying to acquire the right sort of leather.

It's really not, but I guess it's probably a lot more difficult over there. I work with leather and have access to a number of very great stores at wholesale prices in the LA area. The right leather might still be expensive or have to be purchased in bulk, but I have no doubt I'll find the perfect hide.

Have you ever ordered from Shapeways before? I've heard their prints, especially the metal ones, suffer from some pretty bad pitting.

I've gottrn a dozen perfect 'detail' parts from shapeways, smooth surface. I have not tried metal, which is why I'm not yet reccomending it. This post is more of a ''jump the gun'' for those of you who are eager to get it asap. I forsee little or no issues with the detailed prints from shapeways but I cantg say anything for the metal, nor can I be sure about the detailed pars until I receive them myself which won't be for two more weeks

Well it's good to know that the standard parts turn out good. I'm in for cold cast for sure and intrigued by the aluminum sand casting.

im in for cold cast as well, though im tempted to get a printed one just to have a "stunt" one i can bum around with

I think the perk of the 3d printed one is that you'll get it the soonest. I think in about a month I may lower the price for the 3d printed one, plus in about 2 weeks you'll have pictures of the 3d printed one since that's on it way to my house, and I'll upload pics when I get them

I checked out my leather options yesterday, it looks like if I'm going to make the straps I'll need at least 10 people to sign up. Should be able to make as many as 30 though if there are actually that many people interested. But I'm not taking signups yet, I'll post on that much later.

Have been quiet up to now, as I've had nothing to add that hasn't already been said.

But I'm very interested as well in a cold cast one with the wristband, dependent on price. I hate to say "count me in, MAYBE" but I'm currently broke, just moved, fiance' just opened a business, and we're getting married in October. But MAN, I wants me one of these!
