Doctor Who Rubbertoe Replicas Custom Mk II Sonic Screwdriver Review

I've been wanting to invest in one of the sonic screwdrivers from Rubbertoe Replicas for years now. The thought of owning a sonic from them same hands and shop that provides them for the show is too cool not to pass up. Nick and I judged a custom sonic competition years ago and finally met in person at Gallifrey One this past February (2016). He let me know a few months back that he was working on a limited offer of two custom versions of the 11th sonic.

The Mk I is in blue, aluminum and black accents. It is a thing of beauty but then Nick hit me close to home with something I just could not pass up, at all, ever. The Mk II, in wood, leather and brass, takes inspiration from the sonic props carried by Paul McGann over the years. As a Eight CosPlayer and as a SteamPunk enthusiast this had to be part of my collection. Nick's made some execellent improvements over time and these new builds are excellent for carry, use and display.

That looks awesome. I've always wanted one of Nick's Sonics but just can't justify the expense. As usual when I can justify it they won't be available.

Approach him about a payment plan of some sort. He's a great guy, easy going and pretty flexible.
