Re: foam with rondo+ brand new foam gloves and helmet
not gonna lie, you saved me on this one doc! that red is absolute!
in warm indoor lighting its got a maroon metalflake look.
outdoors in the sun its got a glowing red sparkle
and in flourescent it is a very vibrant red
looks best after a camera flash, it brings out the deep red and sparkles. and imo matches the mark vii suit APPROPRIATELY without looking too gaudy
unfortunately humidity has been a problem so i cant apply that triple thick glaze right now. im hoping i can today, yest it was just "pure gray cloudy glaze"
and for anyone thats curious. the paint process is the most expensive part of this build, so save your money in preparation ive gone through 3-1/2 cans of plastidip, 3 cans of adhesion, 3 cans of primer, 3 cans of dupli specks, 1 half can of sunburst gold, 1 can of dupli chrome (havent used yet), 2 cans of triple thick glaze. Either im wasteful when it comes to painting, or im just overdoing it.
do you know an optimal humidity percent to spray in?
EDIT: hey doc. any experience glazing or glossing base coats without a clear coat?
just in case i cant lay a coat of clear, i still want it to be glossy. I have a nice collection of 3M detailing products and one product in particular is the 3M hand glaze. its like wax but doesnt harden it fills in light scratches and gives a depth coat of clear but can be washed off easy unlike a wax.
