Limited Run DL44 TFA Blaster Kit

Thanks guys!

I am still working on the castings even though they are on order and I got the caps pretty good,
the pour spru will be cut off then you just have a little filing/sanding,
so as soon as the grills come in we are good to go

I believe that this will be the nicest piece in my collection once I get it together. The Aluminum Black is waiting...

Anyone want out? I would love to get in on this run! :D

Lovin' the update pictures! It's very exciting watching this kit evolve.

Any shot of what the plastic plate looks like?

This is what I came up with based on the screen shot

I can't post the screen shot on my web site and this thread is not letting me upload any more from my computer.
His hand is covering a lot of the square so it is hard to get the entire size, but at least this will get you close,
the selector switch has to come off but if you still want to fire it you will have to put the post of the switch back in with the screw from the other side,
the trigger mechanism rests on it

These are about the only good shots of the side, and one is a launchbay model. The area before the rectangle above the grip seems like it should be a little taller, but other than that it looks good.

The plate looks about right. I think we will need to glue it on and maybe epoxy or "filler" to fill the edges and sand down.

The center square will need to be "centered" in the cutout to estimate the milled look.

As Dave said, After the selector switch is out, we will need to reattach to something. An easy way may be to cut off the screw hole boss from the selector switch and use it with epoxy putty to bond the hole to the frame and fill the voids?

Once cured, the area can be sanded flat and the plate applied.

I think the movie hero looks painted. A semi-gloss black prob will be best and then scuff as desired,. ; )

That's awesome! I'm sure we all appreciate all your hard work, and that's really nice of you. Can't wait to get my kit.
