the only thing that counts is if you are happy with the way you make it.
This is really rough and I am using it as a template, but here is the other side of mine. v2 will be ALOT better. This took about 40 minutes in AutoCAD and then about 5 minutes to cut. I couldn't find my deburring tool so the edges are a little rough.

I like better painted too. Can I ask you a question? Did you cut the screws of the bull barrel or just got a couple shorter? They're super long...
Thanks. I figured I could cut the long one down, but I already have the short one on order. It's less work to wait. lolJustainIAN, that looks great! I know its not much help now, but you can cut the long mag and make it a short mag
I held them with a set of lineman's pliers and used my sanding station to grind them down to the length i needed, then deburred before screwing them in. Same with the screws that hold the scope mount closed.
Feeling the pressure of the left side , i figured i had to get mine done also , but i didnt want to put that plastic piece on so i figured id try to mill in the box in the metal of the gun with my dremmel tool.
first i made a template out of some stainless sheet i had in my garage , to use as a guide to get the edges straight , then i used double sided tape and stuck it to the gun View attachment 634286
Then i first cut the edges with a cuttingwheel on the dremmel , and milled out the rest with a milling bit.

Result looked like this , then some blueing and weathering , and i must say im pretty happy with the outcome
