Limited Run DL44 ANH Version Blaster Kit

Is there any way to acquire a Mauser or MGC these days? I thought they are next to impossible to find.

For a live fire Mauer, you can find them at gun shows or even auction sites. They range in price depending on model and condition (as most antiques do). You should be able to find a 7.63 caliber in firing condion for 700 - 1000 I would say, but again if the condition is good and all the numbers match you could be looking above 1000 easily. Red-Nines run even higher (highest I've seen was around 5k for peak condition w/ matching numbers). It's expensive for sure. The MGC will run 250-350 most likely, but they're much harder to find these days (but not impossible, I saw a few up for auction around the holidays). The chrome ones seem to pop up more than the blued ones. You can strip the chrome, but remember that will be an extra cost. The plate job on the chromed MGCs is absolute garbage, so I have no idea why they even exist in the first place.

So, a gun show or something similar then? What do they normally run?

Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

I got my parts and it's all incredible quality.

Can anyone point me to a thread that can give me some pointers on assembly and painting?

This is my first build and I don't want to mess up.

There is a guy named John from the UK who has been emailing me,
the emails that I send keep getting kicked back by your email server saying it is spam.
Please call if you have any questions.

Can someone tell me what this "pin" is? Is it necessary? It seems to be slightly interfering with seating my grips.

Yes that is the hammer spring and is necessary for that to operate,
you will have to file some of the inside of the grips to fit around it.

Looking forward to the next run. Do you plan to have more of the modified Denix available when the next ANH comes around?

Its most likely not, just squeeze hard, the grips will fit. They are a snug fit (which is good).. I though the backs of the grips needed to be filed but they dont.

Not sure which thread to ask this, but I figured this is a good place to start: How far "off" is the denix when converted to Solo's blaster. I know the Mauser C96 was the true weapon used, but is the Denix a reputable replica or no?

I realize answers could vary greatly, I'm just asking because I really don't know.
