DL-44/Mauser Grip Question

Afternoon all. I picked this up for £2.50 at a car boot sale this morning (didn't have the heart to haggle!). Obviously it's not movie accurate; but it's got a nice chunky feel to it and is about the same overall size as the orange Hasboro. However, the butt is way too big and I want to replace it with something closer to the right size. Does anyone make resin castings of DL-44/Mauser grips? I've found complete resin DL-44 kits and E-11 conversion kits for sale online; but what I really want is just the handle and grips. Any help would be appreciated.

I helped a friend prep that same type of blaster for a halloween costume. I do not think you'll have any luck with real/replica mauser parts as they are not the same size and profile as the toy.

This blaster is based off of the vintage Kenner version. BUT its a battery operated watergun, and if you mod the handle you will elminiate the water container.

I say shoot it with some satin black and toss it around so the grey/silver plastic wears through. Accuracy be damned, you'll have more fun blasting water at your friends.

I used a phaser water gun with a Kirk costume last year. Except I filled the gun with rum and used it to distribute shots at our Halloween party. Just an idea...

Thanks for the replies. Much as I'd love to give my friends a good soaking(and some of them well deserve it), I'm getting a bit old for that sort of thing. Besides, that's just the sort of harmless fun that's likely to get one arrested here in the UK. :lol
