District 9 Prawn space helmet

So, anyone else spotted this in the DVD extras yet? I searched, but didn't turn up any mention of this. It's bloody gorgeous...I must have one!

Damn shame this scene was cut, perhaps we could have had this as a collectible. Let's hope District 10 happens and features phalanxes of Armoured Battle Prawns (tm).

Anyone seen any production art for this?

On first glance watching that scene, I had thought it was a Prawn skull, then I looked closer and thought cool, a space helmet...I wonder who is making that on the RPF:lol

I agree, it would have been cool to see it used in the movie along with a full suit. Hopefully in a sequel it will be:thumbsup

That helmet's pretty cool! I must have missed that, I've only watched all the extras once so far. Have to see them again, I suppose...

I guess the rpf resizes attachments down to a certain maximum size?

Hey RK, this is a bit of an ask, but could you please grab another cap off the Blu-ray? I could really, really use a higher-res cap from the deleted scene with the Prawn space helmet - especially, where the adult takes it off the kid - there's almost a dead-on side view at that point. At DVD res my caps unfortunately are not quite good enough to base a drawing on.

There is also a helmet sitting in the BKG of some of the shots in the 'Conception and Design' feature, I think.
