Does the Skywalker Legacy ESB saber suffer from a larger diameter than the original Graflex tubes?

Looked at a couple comparisons on YouTube, and it looks very close...

My personal Graflex Luke (that I've had for years - replica flash tube BTW) is the ANH version.

I needed the ESB (and have visions of a snowdrift display).

FYI: this was the Rey TFA Galaxy’s Edge hilt. They retired it a few years back but brought it back as a Skywalker Legacy box set (hilt, hook, stand, blade). So it was not attempting to replicate the The Empire Strikes Back version which typically is associated with the extra red button underneath in place of the glass eye.

Yeah its specifically a Force Awakens graflex with the hex screws in the grips, clear circuit board and smooth clamp. Though i dont think they replicated the brass glass eye ring.

Also picked up the T-16 model / toy from Disney.

Secondary market but still less than a benji.

I love it. To my untrained eye, seems exactly as the prop Luke plays with in the garage...

One thing that sorta sucks about licensed props is they are less fun to show off, as they are ALL THE SAME

My ANH replica was made in about 2002 or 2003 from a very well made flash tube replica.

Assuming my base Graflex replica is accurate, this one is about 3mm more in circumference (you all probably already know that).

Also dropped Rey's into my cart (as my son is essentially dating her - another story), and Master Sol's as well...

Sol's design is a bit simple or plain, but the images of the replica sell it well, with nicely executed weathering (though likely the prototype).

The Hasbro Black Series Rey EP9 saber is way better than the Disney version. It looks better with better weathering, it has a better ‘feel’, and the Hasbro version turns on/off using the top ring just like in the movie instead of the inaccurate ‘switch’ Disney stuck in the middle of the saber body.

The Hasbro Rey saber is a little more expensive, but it’s absolutely worth it.

I have the Kylo and I think it’s pretty good. You can add some after market blade covers to give them more of the unstable look and you’ll be set!

Am drawn to it by its unique design, that it stems from one of the better movies, and the overall "hardware / hand-built" crude look of the hilt....

I agree. I have Her Hasbro saber and it’s supreme. My Luke ANH and Kylo Ren sabers are Hasbro. The rest in my collection are Disney Parks sabers.

I replaced my 2005 MR Mace saber with a Disney one. The Disney is actually more accurate than the MR.

I love the Sol lightsaber. It’s simple, but one of my new favorite designs.

A few years ago, the Rey Hasbro went down to about $150. I grabbed a couple for my daughter and I. You probably are not going to see that price again because I think most were clearing them out. So now anything available new is probably be sold at collectors prices. So if you are looking for a decent price, the Legacy is the choice. However, you might want to risk and hold off for when Disney does a sale again and see if you can snag at a sale price.

I have the hasbro version. I think it’s actually thicker than the Disney parks. Does anyone own both and can do a side-by-side comparison?
