Disney + | She-Hulk

I enjoyed that ep! Like James said, it's comic book on screen... reminds me of Giffen Dematteis the run of JLA in the 90's I loved....

I like a little jokey stuff... in a series like this, anyway. Keep it up. Even the fourth wall in this one was well done. And I agree, they DID tie the A and B story together well...

Tho previously I think I said they needed to size up the suits cuz the skin tight looks fake AF... but now she's wearing a loose suit and it looked worse!

Some of that CG was sketch!

The twerking end? Didn't really bump for me... Surprised it's getting online attention... Lotta dancing in Marvel...

Star Lord always dancin...
Baby Groot dance is probably best...
Zemo was decent...

I mean I cringed more at the "Dance off, bro!" ending of the first Guardians... only thing that bothered me in this was the CG moves soooo weird.

I haven't seen a single scene from this show but this thread is entertaining enough. ;)
How did all these old guys learn to use the internet? Wait a minute...CRAP! I'm one of them!
This type of silly banter is exactly what my daughter and I will be discussing in our movie review show, a Gen X vs Gen Z smack down, we might have to watch She Hulk just so we can cover this.
Carry on folks and thanks for the laughs!(y)

Lord help us if they dare to show us a mid credit scene with the waltz, *gasp* the charleston, or *clutches pearls* the jitterbug!!!
Oh yeah, those, and other, dances used to be considered pretty scandalous back when they first came out. There was a time in the West when dance partners would barely touch each other with touching hands being the most physical contact that you would have with your partner.

I don't think anyone is offended by the dancing, just how out of place in the context of what the character has been complaining about. "No one takes me seriously as a female lawyer!" *Twerks in glass wall office* Good lord... They should have done that scene at the bar she frequents or at a club or something.

I work in an office, people have twerked in it, and are still taken seriously.

Exactly!

I thought it was funny that the response to someone saying she was being sexualized was to post an article that says the dance is from Africa and celebratory, avoiding the point that YES, it is clearly sexual. And then bring up male heroes that danced, or other dances that aren't anywhere similar.

I don"t recall seeing scantily-clad Spring Breakers or Freaknikers dancing the Waltz either

It's the whole "no it isn't" denial followed by the, "yeah, well I guess it is, but what's the big deal?"

The discussion wouldn't even go there if people just acnowledged the obvious.

But this thread is alot of that.

lather...rinse...repeat

EDIT: changed an "of" to an "or"

Feet are clearly sexual, right? Some people find them to be so, thus they must inherently be sexual, right?

I liked the part where she breaks the fourth wall and reminds us this is still her show.

they should have cut to Din speeding behind her with the theme music playing, mando takeover style

one last note - overall the crappy cgi kind of works, it’s weird, think that’s intentional for the character

I decided to check-in with this thread to make sure that commentary regarding “twerking”, a trend whose relevance dates to 2013, had been initiated by The She-Hulk…

I can report that I was not disappointed in the responses in this thread.

Keep your references and humor timely She-Hulk and keep breaking new ground for the MCU.

I expect the “Ice Bucket Challenge”, another 2010’s trend, to make an appearance in the next episode.

Or, maybe the “What Color Is This Dress, Dress” will show up…

So a woman twerked at work on a show, not sure this should be headline news. It fits with the idiotic vibe of the show so kudos for consistency.

I can think of a few far worse things that people have done in offices. If someone did that in IRL my brief reaction regardless of their gender would be "what a moron." Then I'd forget about it in two minutes.

Maybe, if we are lucky, we will get a Tide-Pod Eating She-Hulk or a Condom-Snorting She-Hulk!
And we can all talk about that instead of her complaining how she doesn't complain
