If they adopt the same model as Marvel.

Lots of different 'character' movies then an amalgamation of those characters (eg The Avengers).

If Disney are savvy (and they are) they would consider bringing back Luke, Han, Leia, Chewie and the others for a sequel to the OT. The actors are all much older now, but fans have been clamouring for that for years. I'll bet this get's discussed as an option.

Why not just do the actors CGI and use their voices?

I think this could be a great thing! We'l have to wait & see!
Least we get more SW on the big screen. Avoid gungans,Ewoks etc & maybe more screen time with a few mandalorians,less cgi & Disney may come up trumps!

The entire unaltered OT was released on DVD a few years ago, you guys know that right?

The only format in which the unaltered OT hasn't been released so far is blu-ray.

I've got those DVD's and they're just rips of the laserdisc. Not even full DVD resolution.

The actors are about 20 years too old for that now. It's my hope they do a new story not related to the rest. They won't though.

Disney has been having the 501st march in their parades for years, plus appear at special events and unveilings. Now that they own SW, they'd suddenly want to eliminate them?

And it begins, there is an upcoming episode of A.N.T Farm on the Disney channel with C-3po R2-D2 and some storm troopers :cry.

I bet the characters are going to be popping up in all sorts of Disney Channel shows leading up to the movies. I feel like someone just pinched a loaf on my childhood lollol.
